You won't regret going to a jet boat! I had a outboard jet sled built 4 years ago. Big smile on my faces every time I take her out. Built and set up just for flathead fishing. I went a little smaller though. 1755 Lowe shallow water with 90/65 obj. I can hit 40mph and run all day long in 2 or 3 inches of water! ;)

Hey Spencer.... Throw some lemon pepper in your “food box”...... they also make these lemon crystals ... like dehydrated lemon... definitely worth it when out cooking on a fire and dont want to carry actual lemons with you. But a bit of lemon on that flat head on the grill... oh yeah. And to take it to the next level Rachel Ray.... you can get some basil and cilantro. Here’s a killer one.... foil cook fish... butter bit of oil and fish in foil packet, you can slice potatoes and put on the bottom.. just be careful with how thin, they can burn if not careful. Put fish fillets ontop of potatoes. ... Lay on the coals... let cook about 20 minutes... when it comes out... take some chopped tomato, red onion and basil... splash or two of balsamic vinegar..... put on fish and enjoy!! I mean if you are gonna be out there cooking... do it right... kind of like your fishing... dont half step it now! Lol. Love your channel.. Please keep doing what you are doing! Is a fun to watch.

You know Spence, flatheads have a scallop or oyster of meat on their head just behind and above , a little, their eyes, both sides. And the bigger they are the bigger the “oyster”! I found that out a long time ago, unfortunately I guess from an old boy who set out trot lines and cleaned everything he caught, even the “Golly Whopper” flatheads, I’m talking the 30, 40, 50 lb’ers and bigger too! Course he was brought meat fishing, you know what I mean?

Oh, I took out the cheeks on that one too. I fried em the next day. Keeping all the fish you caught is how it used to be, and that's cool. I just choose to let the big ones go.

River Certified - right on, yeah folks back then didn’t have much of a choice but to keep everything they catch, either that or go hungry.
