with only a couple weeks or so left .

Keep at it.Like matt says you need to try and stay as long as you can I was ready to head for the truck at 10:30 and waited a few mins and boom gobbled his head off behind me and was able to get him in.Go as much as you can and stay as long as you can

It’s the 5 th season in Wisconsin. Had the biggest Tom I ever saw. Across a 400 yard feild he would not do anything to calls. We crawled along a ditch line was 100 yards closer. My friend called him within 25 yards. Hate to say this he missed. Soft calling and waiting did it. I learned so much from you Mr Dale thanks I have permitted for last season coming up I’ll be out ever hour till I kill another one.

A Big Dominant Bird, 21 lbs. 5 oz. with 1-1/8" Hooks, and a 9-3/4" beard. Just like the Biggest Bucks, seem to show up, searching for the last receptive Doe, at the tail-end of the Rut.

The one thing I learned to listen for is that clicking sound when he gobbles. Y’all will hear it but you really gotta listen to him gobbling when I hear that click sound i know he’s close. It took me a few times to hear the clicking but it’s there.

Youth hunt was awesome in ny as always I'm in ny also so from what I'm getting maybe the last week n a half will be good I never turkey hunted until this yr I took my son out for youth season I called in a 30lb tom for him I went out 2nd day of season and shot a Tom about 25lbs so now the waiting begins I guess it's been pretty quiet lately I'm not gonna give up found this chanel pretty late but I like what he's saying

I wish I found your videos sooner because it is great information. I am in Massachusetts where our season starts something like the last Monday of April and goes for 4 weeks. We start late season because for all of April I can always hear & see turkeys everywhere then when I get to the field on opening day its lock down. Hopefully I can make the best of the next couple weeks when I get out there and tag out for the 1st time. Look forward to getting through your mountains of content. Oh and hopefully your videos I shared with my brother will slow his desire to decoy up the field with everyone he has with him. I am sure it would work at the start of april.

I've got to the end of May in Southern Ontario here. I had a rough opening week with lots of quiet, and stubborn gobblers who wouldn't come in. This is my first time turkey hunting and this video gives me hope that I can get that gobbler before the end of the month.

So enjoyed your inspirational videos. Today was the first day, after hunting gobblers all season, I had turkey come in within 15yds after calling. Now they were all hens but the adrenaline rush was just as good. It was a success in my book. And a marked improvement over last year. This is only my second VA season chasing gobblers but I so look forward to next season. Thanks!

I went out for my first turkey hunt, heard hens yelping and even spooked one, but heard no gobbles! I had to come back from my trip early but I've got a couple more weekends to get out, unfortunately it's a 5 hour drive, hoping I'll get luckier on my final trip out on 5/15! Thanks for all the tips! You called it. It's like we know there's a lull and just forget it every year. Sunday had three birds gobbling. Two way off and one struck up at 7am. Made a couple moves and called a couple times. Set up waited. Here he comes strutting and drumming. 10 total minutes and him moving 200 yards and me moving 200 yards came down to him drumming at 15 yards. Tagged out here in NC. Turkeys have been strutting and chasing since mid-March here in KY, but the season didn't open until mid-April. I've only been able to hunt weekends, and not even every weekend at that. By the time the season closes this Sunday, I will have only been able to hunt 7 days. I've been kicking myself for messing up some opportunities, seeing as things are really starting to wind down and opportunities are becoming fewer and farther in between, and this pep talk really helped. Gonna give 'em the whole nine yards this weekend. Hopefully something works.

I’m wondering how this pertains to other parts of the country? For instance I am a MN resident. Last weekend, (Apr 30-may 2). I was hearing lots of gobbling. Now a week later this coming weekend May 7-9. I am curious if the gobblers will be in the lock down phase? Being farther North and all... Does it work this way? Our season ends the last day of May. Long question short, are we behind up here compared to being farther south?

My worst season in Ohio for years. When you get used to killing two birds and hunt the same property and hear a bird on opening day which was the 24th and see one hen and the rest of the week not hearing a hen or gobble on the roost shot my spirt down. Not so much killing one but the fact of hearing them even on the roost and not even hearing a hen. Thats depressing

Just because a guy has private property does not mean you have it in the bag. I seen multiple piles of fresh coyote scat and we had a really wet spring last year. When your used to killing a couple and up to 5 birds off a property even Jake's included between 3 family members for a season thats a big swat to your pride. But im gona go try my couple faithful state land properties I've killed birds in the past and try that. Guess a guy always needs to have a few back up plans

You say "when the hens fly off the roost and go to their nest". I thought hens had to sit on their eggs? They fly up at night and let their eggs freeze? Science says they lay on their eggs overnight. Tell me the science is wrong. This has always been a question of mine. I like your videos...
