There is a young man who killed his first gobbler because of you Dale! I took him hunting here in northern VA closing saturday and because of your info he scored....he is hooked on turkey hunting! His father (my friend) died sept1st of last year in a peterbilt 379 in Elkins WV from hydroplaning and going over the guardrail on Talbot Hill, Corridor H. That hunt was the most successful hunt of all my entire hunting experiences! Thanx so much Dale!

Congratulations! Nice size Tom! Your story makes me remember back to my first kill, 25 years ago. I literally didn't have time to get to any type of cover. So I laid on my belly, With 2 Tom's coming straight at me. I shot at about 10 feet. My very first gobbler with a 7 1/2 and a 4 1/2 inch beards.

Thank you for your insight and every video you make, Matt. I'm just in my second year of turkey hunting and learned a ton from being in the woods and watching your videos here. Today I got my first public land gobbler on the last day of my season here in Michigan! I was only able to hunt three days this season & my first two days got cut short. I never got a shot on a monster gobbler that came in on the first day I hunted this season but today, thanks to the information I've learned through your content and your encouragement, I was able to get my first bird just as the heat was coming on strong out in the fields. BIG thanks again to you, Matt, and thanks to Spring Fever too! I used a Spring Fever slate over glass pot call, box call, and the Ol' Sly mouth call to close the deal today and get this incredible tom to come running in. This hunt was an experience I will never forget & I'm incredibly grateful for everything I've learned on your channel. Have fun hunting up north and I wish you all the best! P.S. Just picked up that same TideWe vest this season too which I've really been enjoying so it's cool to see you happened to be using it as well!

Give them a break next year. Trust. Have two farms wiped out not a thing there. Usually 10-12 toms on 1,000 acres. Nothing this year. And we’re in a huge uptick population wise.

It funny to me that people think someone is a great turkey hunter which they may be but heck if l got to hunt 30 days out of a season l could kill 15 or 20 turkeys lm like most guys l get to hunt 6 or 8 times a season and still tag out lots of guys would kill lots of turkeys if they could hunt every day of the season

Sounds like you got some awesome places to hunt. I personally hunt small acres of land on high pressures areas. I never said I was a great turkey hunter but I sure have killed a lot over 30 years. My goal isn’t to kill gobblers on here to show how great I am. My goal is to teach others how to turkey hunt successfully. I think I reach that Goal every single year with hundreds of hunters telling me they have had more success due to the information they receive here. But Thanks for watching

@@daleoutdoors17 keep doing what your doing Matt. Your teachings have sure made me a better turkey hunter. Thanks for all you do and I think your a great turkey hunter, it’s not about how many you kill in a single season.

Seems to me you wish you could hunt 30 days a season. However, as you said, you only hunt 6 to 8 days and you still tag out. So why do you need 30 days to hunt if you tag out in 6 or 8. Sounds like you need more tags and not more days.

@@daleoutdoors17 I appreciate what you do. I've been hunting gobblers for 35 years, but I will never be too old to learn a few things from other experienced hunters. I am jealous because I have to work a lot and never get to hunt as much as I want to.
