Now that's what I'm calling a shore lunch! I paddled n fished that river this fall with no luck. I'll be back, though! Great video

Another great video. You guys do live large when you're out that's for sure lol..

We certainly try! On a trip like this with few or short carries it is definitely worth bringing along some nice extras.

Definitely worth the wait Jay wish you could have landed 1 of those pike? in the beginning. I have driven by the Saranac's a 100 times and other than canoeing all of them years ago in boy scouts have never gave them much thought, guess I'll have to change that next year.👍👍

The only consolation I have is that those were pretty big Pike and fun to fight for a few seconds, it would have been great to land them, but still a good time! It is definitely worth hitting the Saranac Lakes in the fall, so much fun!

Glad I could help Jay. Any time lol. I can’t remember what caused me to put the camera down.

I think you definitely trip on something, in the unmuted audio you can hear "agh hold on" then you set it down. That trip was so hectic whenever we heard the bells or thought we had a fish on, what a good time!

Continuing to like your vids. Down to earth and background music not loud and overpowering. Like to see you load your canoe in the water, not like some who load on land and drag it into the water! You definitely know your canoe tripping!!

I really appreciate it Greg! Thanks for watching!

Curious what wenonah canoe that is and what size your bag is? Looks like you've got your gear upgraded from when you first started making videos.

The canoe in this video, and trips where I am doing any kind of distance, is the We-No-Nah Solo Plus, she has really served me well the last couple years! That bag is the NRS Bills 110L bag, but I have been thinking of replacing it with something a little more rigid against my back. Sorry for the late reply! I will definitely at some point do a full video about the gear I use!

Where do you store your food bear canister or Bear hang?
@DaxWoodsWanderer2 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the type of trip I am doing. I do have two coolers that claim to be "bear proof" with locks on them, and they are great for trips without any carries. On other trips I will just haul that big 30L barrel I use for the food up into a tree.

What do you use for a camera?
@DaxWoodsWanderer2 жыл бұрын
Hey Grayson, right now I just use a GoPro 8 for all my filming, I really would like to add a DSLR camera to the mix though.

It’s amazing that the food you make at home doesn’t taste as good as what you eat in the outdoors
