Hello friends, I’m back with another wallpaper slideshow. And oh boy, this one's a long one. Thanks for being patient while I worked, I hope you get something out of it.

Now I heard somewhere that you need to put lots of keywords in your description… I think I can do that.
Incase you could not tell, this is an Animatic for the Dream SMP. That means that all of these people are in fact made of Blocks from the hit game Minecraft. Made by the man himself, Philza (Ph1lza) Minecraft. You thought this was based on a book or something? Nope! This is Minecraft Server Roleplay. Usually Minecraft is a Funny Game, and it can be up to 2000% funnier, depending on how charismatic your friends are. But this is not Funny Minecraft Moments, oh no.. this is Edgy Minecraft Moments. Soul-Crushing minecraft moments. Starring in this Animatic are memorable characters, like Tommyinnit, Ranboo, Tubbo, Dream (DreamWasTaken,) Awesamdude, Technoblade, Quackity, and uhhhh…. Michael? I don't know about you, but Michael is my favorite character on the Dream SMP. There's so much… Lore. So many Lores in fact, that I am terrified just thinking about it! Speaking of terrified, Tommyinnit is terrified in this Animatic. This is a very Serious and Angsty Animatic, viewer discretion is advised.
OK I think that's a decent keyword salad. Let's move on.
…..have I lost everyone yet? Okay now for the stuff just for my beloved pals:
I'll be honest, this animatic did not want to get made. I'm sure you'll notice how it took a lot longer to make, but that's not just because of the runtime. Although the length is impressive. No really though, stuff just kept coming up. And then we had that lore gap, so I was kind of just freewheeling until I had some more events to draw… it's been a bit of a mess. Needless to say, I am exhausted mentally and physically. Not sure what that means for future projects, but if you're reading this then there's a really good chance you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, so you'll know how things shake out. Who knows, maybe I'll actually end up doing one of those smaller projects I keep mentioning… instead of making increasingly longer and more complicated retellings of the basic lore.
We'll see.

- The red squares whenever there’s a death. - Foolish’s design is so good. It incapsulates the Egyptian aspects of his character really well. The clothes, the hair, the distinct facial features. They all fit him so well! Even the large hands and forearms of a builder. And the shark tooth is the perfect simple way to include his shark theme. The overall look of his character could easily be a sort of immortal/god-the totem of undying.

I just realised that Wilbur playing cards with Tommy in the afterlife and then the shot switching to Ranboo giving Tommy a flower in the real life has so much more meaning now that Wilbur is back and met Ranboo. It shows how everything was a game for Wilbur and how Ranboo on the other hand actaully deeply cares about the feelings of others. They are polar opposits and I can't wait how their lore is gonna grow!

It's cause Tommy and Dream (the main writers of the exile arc) decided to lean into the mental aspects of characters. Based opinion but I don't really like it. It's fun to debate about the reasons *why* characters did things and how events affected them mentally, but I came into the DSMP fandom when it was about war, fighting, betrayal, politics, all that jazzy fun stuff. The sudden addition of the lore actually giving a shit about the mental side-effects just feels like a whiplash that has lasted for months now. Probs why I really only watch Techno and Philza lmao

I really love the use of colors to depict emotions: how those seen from Tommy’s perspective as “villains” are in red, and how Dream’s mask is white in contrast, showing a villain underneath a friendly face. Same with Wilbur, with a almost smile on his face but a red background showing his true feelings

I thought the same with the colors from sadist animations, the colors always has something to do with it. Idk if it was intentional or not 😂 but based in sadist's animations, yellow is hope or nostalgia, red is anger, green is fear, purple or pink is chaos or about something twisted (like the inside of the vault, when techno spawned the withers), blue is sadness or just nighttime I guess, and white is a moment/event you should never miss. I love the mcyt art community for its creativity man, we literally work w/ mc and yet these animators makes everything look so kewl like a movie.

@@millyhearts Nonono, I meant that he told Ghostbur Dream still had his three canon lifes and that they would only be taking one of them to try and get Dream to „realize he was being bad“ so he would stop. Ghostbur had no idea he would be helping in completely killing Dream forever. If he had known that, if Tommy had been honest to the person he brought in danger and used, Ghostbur probably wouldn’t have participated. It’s just that he’s a total pushover and terribly gullible and Tommy took advantage of that once again, but this time Ghostbur didn’t just lost a few valuable items, he lost his life.

@@nabibobetauu yeah I do agree that C!Tommy lied to Ghostbur but it's mostly for the greater good. If the plan work,C!Dream will be gone,erasing the main "evil" of the server. It was really risky plan especially using Ghostbur as main,but for the long lasting peace of server(in his view). When he reliazed thing start to go south,C!Tommy not holding back in attempt to get Ghostbur back to safety instead of listening to C!Sam as he knew Ghostbur is in danger. At least it's shows that Tommy knew he was in wrong and trying to fix it,try to negotiate with C!Sam,which still ended up in failure. Tommy felt a great regrets afterwards as he once again failed to save his friend(which quite parallel to the Tubbo exucation event,except in Ghostbur's case,Tommy chose to act instead of watching over)

@@vendi_605 Not necessarily! The way the colours are used are to represent c!Tommy's (in this case, as it is an animatic mostly based on his POV) or maybe the audience's perspectives on characters. You can see that c!Sam is colored grey, but after the Ghostbur incident you can see he turned red! Showing that c!Tommy now sees him as untrustworthy.

You know, people are saying Wilbur didn't shatter because of the fact he never gave up. But I think it's quite the opposite symbolism. Out of the entire group, Wilbur was the only one who WANTED to die. Everyone else had no choice in the matter, they were killed and couldn't fight back against it. Tommy died stuck in the prison with an enemy of his, Schlatt had a heart attack which - no one asks to have a heart attack, then Mexican Dream sorta just.. y'know got murdered as well. None of them wanted to die and were forced into the circumstances that caused it. Wilbur told Philza to kill him, he gave him the blade TO kill him, egging him on to do it. That's where the true difference lies between them all, because Wilbur had given up. He accepted death with open arms. In way, the reason he didn't break apart was because he was the only one content with it.

My guess is that it's easier to draw his facial expressions. The entire point of Ranboo wearing the mask and glasses is so that people couldn't see his face so I definitely think changing his design to look more like his skin was the right call.

Woke: Ranboo's design has stayed the same, but in earlier animatics, he wore a disguise that still somewhat resembled his normal form so that when he felt he could trust people he could show his true face and it wouldn't deviate too much from what they already knew.
