I saw the original production on Broadway. It was INCREDIBLE. I bet this production is just as great. The material is so strong and the actors are fantastic. Go see it if you have a chance.

FOR CORRECTIONS: the sermon during a Catholic mass is called the homily. apologies for correcting you, Seth. fortunately, i keep a Catholic confessional in my living room; because it's funny, and pragmatic. i will confess and repent for correcting you.

Actually in listening to the discussion, this is male perspective, I'm not seeing it is the same experience for women. Males and Male perspective is what is considered in this play because males are in charge of Church rule, politics, what happens to a person who molested, who has control during and after a molestation or RAPE are not considered nor is there even aware there is another perspective!

Right?!? I mean, that definitely didn’t sound like a typical band intro for a talk show guest. It sounded, like, amazing. Had me thinking, “Let’s hold off on this interview until the band finishes this playing the entirety of this song.”

I have no absolutely no love for the catholic church, to my mind its one of the most evil and destructive institutions in human history, but i used to be catholic growing up and i remember how terrible it felt to try and defend that faith. I didnt choose religion it was forced upon me from the day i was born. I absorbed it through everything our family did. I think id sympathize for this accused priest...for about 15 seconds, before remembering Bernard Law, and the pennsylvania grand jury report, and the dozens of grand jury reports in state after state detailing dozens of thousands of victims. As for Bernard Law, he escaped prosecution thanks to the power of the vatican and was IN THE CONCLAVE voting for the next pope, as if that abject, rancid ghoul could possibly have conduit to the graces of a benevolent god!😠 You could kick down at the catholic church for a thousand years and you wouldnt come close to exacting the vengeance its accrued over its history...but thats just my opinion.
