@@DagonExcelstraun absolutely. I’d LOVE to finally someday learn about these migrating tree frogs…. You know I have frogs in my pond that only make lots of noises very seasonality. Yeah I’m such a weirdo. I finally looked up frog sounds online. I found out frogs (in this area) make different noises meaning different things. Not sure if it was boredom or curiosity but I decided to “mess” with the frogs lol. In the pond. I would replay an “aggressive” frog on my phone loud speaker over the pond…. Omg it was too funny. SPOILER ALERT: If you haven’t watched SNL’s Seth/Stefon series you might not want to read any further 🙈🙈. Otherwise, I give a bit of info on migrating tree frogs within Season 4. I don’t know if that’s the first mention of the frogs on the show, or if it goes back even further.When Stefon tells Seth he is leaving to marry someone else, Seth doesn’t immediately get up to go after him in the confusion. Instead, he tries to continue working by reporting on a story about migrating tree frogs 🐸. He can barely get through a phrase about the frogs without his voice trembling. Amy tells Seth to go get Stefon, and the rest is history. The frogs never stood a chance against the utter chaos around the marriage of these wildly popular characters.

There are federal student loans which generally are much lower interest but are limited and private student loans which can be any ammount and interest rate. it's unfortunate at least when I was young there was limited effort to educate students on the loan process to encourage good finantial decision making. instead there was an optimistic attitude of do anything to follow your dreams and everything will work out. If you want to go to an expensive school for a degree that doesn't have good job prospects or earning potential, there's plenty of student loans for that.😅

"We'll each ask each other a trivia question and if you get it right you get $5, if you get it wrong you give the other person $5. The blonde just wants to take a nap so she turns him down. The lawyer says, "How about this. If you can't find the answer you give me $5 and if I can't answer the question you ask then I'll give you $100." The blonde agrees to play the game. The lawyer goes first and she doesn't know the answer so she hands him the $5. Then it's the blonde's turn and she asks, "What goes up a hill with 3 legs and comes down with 4?" The lawyer is stumped and he starts investigating, pays for the in flight internet and starts googling and emailing people to try to find the answer. A few hours later he finally gives up, wakes her up and hands her the $100. She rolls over to go back to sleep and he says, "wait, what's the answer to your question?" She turns back towards him, reaches into her pocket and gives the guy $5.

Holy crap, AOL CD’s! Mind = blown 🤯 True story, I’ve been helping my father clean his house during COVID, and I found an old CD storage case that had a few of those in there. Hard to believe that 56k dialup internet had a time limit at one point
@maryalicetruitt3142 жыл бұрын
"What if somebody has to use the phone?" 🤣🤣🤣 Someone in the house was always waiting for a return phone call- cell phones weren't a thing yet. The only way to learn the internet was with Netscape at the public library.

This is one of the funniest Ya Burnt segments in a long time. Made even funnier because Seth kept laughing throughout. I especially loved the '90s throwback. :-) Although I do love road trips, I try to keep mine to 4 hrs or less. Anything longer isn't a road trip. It's just traveling by car because flights are too expensive. Road trips are meant to be short and fun, not exhausting.

I’d post this on social media, but the Wordle score posters in my social circle are debilitatingly ill with cognitive issues and so the daily challenge is important to their brain health and mental health. It’s like they’re reporting on Olympic gold. (I’m also debilitatingly ill and will post an unusual 7 letter word in Scrabble … it sucks to be ill and living alone.)

As a proud late Gen-X Jackal, I must protest you giving Inspector Gadget to the 90s! That show was on in the early 80s when I was a kid! 1982 to be exact.

I have no clue why people pay extra to get on the plane first. We don't leave until everyone boards so what's the point? That being said I would pay a king's Ransom for the ability to get Off the plane first. #PriorityDeplaningUponArrival

there is one spot per one seat. if you get on last and can't find a spot you simply hand the bag to the attendant and they will find a compartment to stow it.

Apostrophes are for possessives, Seth! The plural of CD is CDs, not CD's.
@raymondm.99542 жыл бұрын
Not for *all* possessives. Not for his, hers, ours, theirs, or its, for example. And apostrophes are also for contractions. Thirdly, apostrophes may be used for plurals if it would be confusing without the apostrophe, as in the expression "do's and don'ts." But I agree that "CDs" is fine.
@bhaskarraman47712 жыл бұрын
@@raymondm.9954 I don't see where I said they're for ALL possessives, or even only for possessives. They're certainly not for plurals - with the very few grudging exceptions you listed. In any case, not for CD's because that clearly reads like a possessive. Finally, can we not jackal the jackals? We have a common enemy to knaw away at here, and that's Seth's self-confidence.
