It is shown how I made the Schaublin-90 lathe drive. Adapted to Schaublin the counter drive of the C1 lathe. Made a homemade belt tensioner.

Moved the drive pulley to the left side of the counter drive, away from flying chips. To do this, I modified the counter-drive shaft and turned it over.
The electric motor was supplied from a sewing machine, German, 245 W, 1400 rpm.
On a sewing machine, the electric motor was mounted on a swivel bracket. I did the same.
To rearrange the spindle drive belt, it is necessary to loosen it. For this, the counter-drive shaft is made oscillating, mounted on a oscillating lever. And the distance between the spindle and the counter-drive shaft can vary.
I purchased the counterdrive without a mechanism for quickly changing this distance, that is, without a belt tension mechanism.
Made such a mechanism. It is described in detail how this mechanism is arranged and works.
I made it so that the belt tension handle in the working position of the belt, that is, when the belt is tensioned, was in a stable position, was on self-hold.
I positioned the electric motor relative to the counter drive so that when the spindle belt was loosened, the counter drive belt would also be loosened.
