The crazy thing is on the old game you would be able to make one for about 500 resources I don't know about the new game but you can make one with under 50 blocks the majority of the blocks are they spin Blade of the de de blade excluding that a mainframe basic AI and you don't need any detection because all vehicles inherently know the direction of enemies well they may not know enough to shoot weapons effectively so no enough to Direct a turret which your blade would be mounted upon all in all these things are relatively cheap and aren't very good as they are shot down with even mediocre and my hair but god it's funny watching 20 of them chasing enemy especially fast there was another version of these which you could make with even less resources which used 1 long harpoon missile and batteries because of its very small size it was a will do be put pretty much everywhere even more so than their bladed version

A single powerful piercing beam is actually a lot more likely to go straight through the target than it is to hit something important. A five lens setup firing ten piercing beams of decent strength has ten times the chance of finding an important block to break, ammo it turret to explode, etc, and is likely to do more damage overall even if that doesn't happen because the energy is spread out among those shots and less of it gets wasted overpenetrating the target. That said, for EMP and kinetic, a single more powerful beam can be quite useful, especially when you want something very accurate and powerful at medium to long ranges. A single long tube coming off a side port and using the return port block connected to the back can create an incredibly strong single hit to blow open big craters in the armor or send a huge EMP spike that might make it through a number of surge protectors.

@@dragonlord1935 a decent gaming setup will run FtD ok, but you'll need a pretty above average game setup to build huge ass battleships at this quality. I have the most average gaming setup and I can run full graphics with any build less than 20k volume, after that I have to crank it down to half texture. But to run shadows you need a beastly setup.

Did you know they have added the megalodon, it's huge and costs 2 milion resources, it's the biggest ship in the game and belongs to the steel striders, good luck fighting that if you ever find it. You will need it.

instead of adding firing constains on the turret, you could add them on the guns themselfs, this would mean that the turret would still rotate 360°, but wouldnt fire into the superstructure

The long rannge railgun should be a spinal turret in the place where the small particle cannons were. The barrel could run the length of the superstructure and rotate to each broadside.

A word about changes to the OW arsenal. While they were initially only split into sail ships, ironclad hybrids, and their signature castle ships, this aesthetic difference was deemed insufficient for differentiating the numerous surface craft of the OW. With strategic AI coming into the game it was decided that castle ships (and the hybrids to an extent) are further split into "tanks" "brawlers" and "siege" ships. The "tanks" are designed to close distance and pressure enemies up close, using steam drills to attack or dissuade counter ramming, while using short range mortars (with the Harlech being a prime example of this). "Brawlers" are the old generalist style, while "siege" units make extensive use of long range mortar barrages and L missiles.

Impact is very good for destroying big parts of a ship and piercing will punch thru alot of armor but impact with a lota damage will destroy large walls and even whole turrets and also set ur vertical horizontal focus to 1 so u can get the most vertical accuracy

I always liked Particle cannons set to piercing, It's actually pretty easy to make a particle cannon that can got straight thorugh one end of a ship out the back like on the achievement if you mess with the settings on it. (If I'm right, achievement is the airship with like, 4-6 particle cannons that run along the front of it.)

Something cool would be the addition of a special kind of electric engine, that could, at a certain loss, convert battery power to engine power at a high rate, atm it seems to be something like 0,37%, or idk exactly, but if you can convert it at a much higher rate, it would allow for bursts of strong engine power allowing you to do a lot of different things. For example, spam harpoons, pull something close, spam EMP so that you can capture it, because atm... most things die in 1-2 hits and you don't want to get close because of the enemy weapons.

Do you know what is deliciously derpy for a battleship type craft? Well, to mount that kind of particle cannon turret upside down through the hull and keel as a 'belly gun' for hunting and killing subs at range. Unlike lasers, or shells of all kinds, particle cannons don't suffer damage attenuation due to water resistance or refraction, making them by far the high-tech weapon of choice for any submersible. For that reason, having one as a belly gun, specifically intended for shooting at submerged targets (or the submerged portion of surface targets) can be amazingly fun and effective. You'll be wanting at least something designated for taking out submerged targets at some stage, as both the twin guard and their closest neighbour the steel striders, have some very effective (and plentiful) submersibles, with the twin guard in particular having those vessels that spawn endless mini-sub drones. Your current anti-sub weaponry is the mega-torpedoes which while great against large, simple targets, will be very inefficient against mini-subs, and can be hard-countered by any advanced sub with anti-torpedo torpedoes (and perhaps merely cheap sonar-buoys).

If you do make a droneship, maybe it could be a small fast jet or VTOL for capturing vehicals after they've been EMP'd. It could ride on the back of your boat were the old Particle cannons were when not in use, and carry some sort of small EMP weapon to finish the target off.
