Earlier on I was thinking about making something different. I fancied something Asian style and I didn't want to go shopping, so starting concocting my own recipe in my head. I wanted chickpeas, lentils and eggs. I've got onions, chilli, coconut, spice's etc. I'll start it in the morning, to hear up and have it with rice and homemade Rotis..... I then came across this.... I've picked up some great tips. Thankyou from Devon.....

One of the delights of BIR style cooking is being able to utilise the left-over potato, veg etc from British cooking in order to create wonderful BIR style dishes.....the potatoes are already cooked, the veg can be added into the gravy....it's easy and quick. I always cook too many potatoes and vegetables for this exact reason. Another wonderful dish from this talented cook....

Why do you boil the potato whole?
@LatifsInspired24 күн бұрын
It holds the flavour of the potato. If you cut it and boil it the flavour goes a bit
@selinakiran690524 күн бұрын
I find it strange people don't peel potatoes first before boiling, especially since the skin is coming off anyways.....less then 1 min to peel, carefully insert a knife all the way through (or better yet, cut into smaller chunks) for faster tenderness.... Unless I'm missing a trick that is....?
