LaToya Ebony you should also mix the clay with an acidic liquid as the clay has a high ph with just water. Also an AVC rinse doesn’t clarify, but it will balance you ph, so is best done at the end of any wash day process to help lower/close your cuticles and enhance the shine of your hair. This was fun to watch btw. 😍😍😍 Love your energy. 😍😍😍

Please be very careful with this method. I know of a few youtubers who have compromised the cuticles of their hair with continued use of this method. The baking soda can eventually raise the cuticle of your hair too much thus casing damage. Tangles could be from the raised cuticles. I just shampoo and condition my hair regularly (once a week) and apply gel on soaking wet hair. The more I styled my wash n go, the better it go. The hydration level of my hair increased and my wash n go got better and better. I don’t do all this extra stuff, just wash, condition, and style with gel on soaking wet hair. (I put the gel on in the shower).

MissJasmine 33, I feel the same way. I have a different hair type (4A/3C) but I am drawn to this channel because she loves her natural hair and showcases it a lot. I big chopped a year ago after years of relaxers to reconnect with my natural hair and so I am looking for a channel that celebrates natural hair. I love my natural hair and I wear it all the time in simple wash and gos and finger coils. I don't care for wigs and weaves, never have and never will. So, I am not drawn to 'natural hair influencers' who live for wigs and weaves.

🥰😁🤗 Love your videos & high energy! Since time is of essence, I do this monthly clarify hair first, then allow hair to air dry some, then apply the ORIGINAL Cherry Lola Treatment (only 3 ingredients without 🥚🥑🍌 so no chunks!), then use deep conditioner with heat (I sit under a hair steamer), then finish with an ACV and rinse hair with cold 🥶 water. Process takes about 2-3 hours depending on dry time and length of mask application. You could then style as desired. It would also be fun seeing if your hair responds well to the new Jheri curl + gel way of doing a wash and go. I’m kind of terrified to do a wash and go again because it always leads to excess tangles and breakage. However, I may try the Jheri curl + gel method IF the ingredients don’t contain hormone mimickers. Take care!

This was so entertaining! 🤣 But please note, the actual Maximum Hydration Method was somewhat abandoned after the clay. Well, actually with the clay, which you def want to keep on for longer. (The cola part can be nixed; the acv and clay cannot). But yeah, you pretty much abandoned the method with that combo of leave-in and styler. (??) However, if you ever (lol) try again, use the Kinky Curly knot today and custard combo. (Or Soultanicals' Knot Sauce + Aunt Jackie's flaxseed). There's a few sites that list the best products for MHM. And, like you state, the results of this are best over time. Daily? Nah but every 2-3 days, yes. And you def will not see the best results with only one trial/error kinda sorta attempt.

😂😂😂so sorry love for all the stress. What I did for my wash and go for definition was a clay mask( bentonite clay and acv) as a clarifier , deep condition with Aussie moist and ecostyler for style on dripping wet hair in pretty small sections. I started with cantu curl activator cream as a leave in but I forgot it after like 2 small sections 😂. So it was like a regular wash day. kinda. I liked how defined it was 😊. I don’t see the point of all of this honestly. It’s a lot of money that you are finding down the drain & I don’t see a difference. Hydration is water. Clean hair + moisturizer + sealing moisturizer. Deep condition. Porosity is even minimally important honestly.

yeah, thanks for persevering because i would have stopped after the banana mixture, too much work for me. I shampoo and condition/co-wash depending on the week, then deep condition, leave in condition, custard/cream and gel. The Mielle is great, but its not a gel, its for definition, shine and moisture, thats why it kept your hair shrunken, eco styler is a gel that would stretch the curls. I would do mielle then eco styler, so you get shine, definition, stretch and moisture, it doesn't flake if you use it properly too. I love all your videos, even though we don't have the same hair type so to speak, I am low porosity, high density too, but even still I just like watching your videos.

Maybe try it only using liquid amino, yogurt and baking soda. I think you may have added too many extra items. I have low porosity hair and it's usually pretty frizzy. I did the max hydro method a week ago and I definitely see the difference. It almost seems like it loosened my pattern tho. And the smell of it gives me that of a perm... 🤔 overall my hair took to the method well
@cherrelleg827611 ай бұрын
Adding baking soda to your hair won’t hurt it. Your mixing the fact that the baking soda is added to other stuff with its own ph. The mix is easier if you put it in the blender not a hand held mixer. I’m not sure where the eggs came from. The original recipe don’t have eggs.

i tried this method using the lola, or cola step only. Did not do the second step. I used organic baby food bananas instead of a regular banana. Also did not use egg or avocado. I used Aphogee amino acid blend instead of braggs amino acids. loved the consistency of the baby food banana and the aph ogee amino acid blend. All my other ingredients were the same as suggested. it turned out well but it was time consuming even with eliminating the 2nd part which is the mud mask. Loved the results. Willing to do it again but doubt it becoming a part of my regular routine.Too time consuming. Im trying to simplify my hair routine as much as possible

LaToya Ebony Not sure about oil, but there’s definitely difference with ACV. I tried just water and clay on my face for month-no changes. The first time I tried it with ACV I was looking at a new face lol something got ‘activated’

LaToya Ebony I like your research too 😊 it’s fun to see people do (relevant not crazy) things just to see what’ll happen.

Kinky Curly products are best. You never use Eco Styler gel bc it’s a protein gel.

Really, no one says she is the third twin of Tia and Tamera 😂. You sound like them, look like them and very goofy like them.

I did MHM for a little while years ago. My hair has retained moisture and stretch so much better every since then. Now I can just do the cherry lola and boom hair is moisturized and has a little hang time. I don't even need the conditioner

I think it was the baking soda I don't think that's good for hair I tried the cherry lola and I didn't like it but I do like the bentonite clay mask and I think using a sulfate shampoo is clarifying enough for me
