I had season tickets for maybe 15 years to the University of Michigan football games and the excitement is exactly like this throughout most of the game. You probably know by now that Michigan won the National Championship game in January. All U.S. colleges AND High Schools who have football teams will have a Marching Band performing at all home games. Fans are shouting USC for the University of Southern California.

I don't like the top level of college football but it's definitely been a cultural icon of the US for a long time. Most areas have a college, not everyone has access to a professional team.

@@Latvianreacts Correct. Most of the South is dominated by college football. I'm not in the South but my state doesn't have any pro sports so it's only college here too.

I am around your age, so when we were around the age you would go to a University, it was between $35-45K for private school and $15-20K for state school every year.

Those goal posts were torn down and thrown into th Tennessee River. This was after Tennessee beat Alabama. Was a last second field goal as time expired. When you see a sentence that says " beat Alabama" it's usually an upset.

Favorite college football team. University of Southern California Trojans .... favorite tradition Trojan Marching band , Song Girls, and mascot Traveler the white Arabian Stallion. Its very california cultural region. The video link is of the pregame with the band at a national championship game held in Miami. I was at this game it was like the sound of an approaching Army, very martial ... the sound recording played better on my cell phone than computer .... you may have to crank up the sound to really appreciate what it was like at the stadium .. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHXFhKtthsx-Y6s
