I was a Bayo Main in Sm4sh never dropped her even after all the nerfs because I loved her character. Still playing her in Ultimate and will continue playing her. I can tell by just how she’s been moved around in her move set that’s not the same character competitive wise. Good to know that at this point she’s not the same character at she was in Sm4sh. All I know is that how shit she is now people shouldn’t shit about her now. Hope to see what others can do to on her Meta in Ultimate!

I never got to try smash 4 bayonetta because i didnt get the game until late 2017 and smash ultimate was just around the corner. So I guess I never got attatched to the character or ever hated her. even though im still salty bc smash 4, the nerfs were too much for her, the uptilt hitbox was just stupid at 1:04, that SHOULD have connected, im ok with the landing lag adjustment, so now she has an actual weakness, but maybe it was a little too much lag, and im ok with witchtime getting nerfed but not that much, either nerf the witch time effect´s duration, or make it harder to land, but not both. lastly the last nerf im ok with is f-air, no specific reason, i just hate being comboed to death by that to the blastzone when she is edgeguarding me. im ok if she gets buffs but plz dont make her smash 4 again.

Honestly she's going to be more of an average character that due to the nerfs. You won't really get hate anymore. People are still frustrated from smash 4 bayo which is understandable as smash ultimate is new and smash 4 ended very recently. I planning on maining Link and Inkling. I felt the same way with inkling now. I planned on using her because she was fun even before I realized she was top tier (at the time pikachu and young link were all the hype). Use bayo if you want :P.

Heavy weights in this game are little scary. I have to be super cautious around ganandorfs online or else they'll take me to 70% in like 12 seconds. I'm glad for people who main really heavyweight characters like bowser and ganondorf, its an interesting change :P.

The thing is that almost no Bayo combos work anymore. There's no reason to try to go for the extra hits of you're sure Bowser will escape. That's why he remained static most of the time, waiting for an opening to get few hits on Bowser again.

I can’t even find Bayonetta combos anywhere on social media. I’ve played mostly Bayonetta and wii fit so far, but you can’t combo unless the opponent literally doesn’t do anything at low %. Her end lag is super long after even after a witch twist+kick. My only true complaint is that she’s supposed to be a character that racks up damage, but can’t kill yet she’s super slow and has a lot of end lag on her attacks. Her pressure game is trash. I could go on a rant but I won’t lol. Long story short, she’s a character that specializes in VERY niche situations

Bayo is not one of the best characters in the game at all anymore, most pros put her as high mid or rarely low high. She has no reliable kill options and an easily escapable combo game. Being able to edge guard alone is not enough to make you high tier at all in this game.
