If Ronald did not have the American accent, it would be difficult to differentiate him from other Russian men. Perhaps his family came from Russia at one point in time?

@City17.76 You're so right! Last night I actually took a quick break from his newer videos and sorted oldest to newest. Crazy to see how young he and his family are back then! Really excited to go through the whole library of Sergey's videos. I'm learning so much about Russian culture and it's been a lot of fun. Thanks for the reply!

Dude!!!!! Dima the sandwich master from Stirka!!!!!!!!!! I love this place a whole lot. The music, the drinking, the coziness, the bartenders and of course the laundry machines makes this small place one of the best places in St. Pete! Thanks for making this video! By the way, you should make a video on the best hostel in St. Pete, soul kitchen!

So many fantastic venues in SPB ! I want to visit so badly. I think Ronald is really on to something. Now that I know about Real Russia I think if I was single I would seriously think about emigrating from UK to Russia, not only US Dollar goes a long way but Pound Sterling too (for now). Sergey's videos show that Real Russia is nothing like what most people in the 'West' imagine - SPB is so vibrant, so forward looking, innovative, really stimulating, I love the look of it, really appealing. Thanks Sergey, your videos are brilliant !

Wow! That is a good place, I like it. I wonder if Ron is a cheapskate, doesn't it cost a lot to fly to Russia? My reason to visit Russia (also inspired by Sergey and Tanya and of course, my friend Marta) would mostly be for the people and the beauty in the lands, buildings etc. and of course the culture. All my friends are in Russia, I have no friends in America these days. Even though my friends and I can't do things together and such, we do talk by message or skype chat, there is still something very special about Russian friends and I am fortunate to have them.

@The Russian Bum Lucky you Ron! Although even if I had money I can't fly due to health condition. Even luckier you get to visit with Sergey in Russia and such. There is bad things and good things in all countries, but it still perplexes me how a lot of people here in the states don't get how I can have friends and acquaintances in Russia. They don't see what I do because they wear blinders or something. So while I may not be able to visit with my friends and acquaintances in Russia, I am still very fortunate and lucky and blessed to have them as friends and acquaintances. What I really love is that they are real and not superficial. My Russian friends and acquaintances mean the world, everything to me. (Marta, Tanya, Sergey, Valeria and Alex).

@@ImixSpb The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, symbol of Russian greatness is dynamited by order of Stalin. In it's place Stalin plans to erect the Palace of the Soviets, a monument to his own greatness. But nature rebels, like an omen the massive new foundation sinks into Mother Russia's earth. The architects are arrested then shot, and the Moscow intelligentsia made to clear away the rubble. The project is abandoned. Stalin has indeed created a symbol of his Empire...a perfetic one.

Wow! This a business we had in Seattle (Belltown neighborhood) in the 90s called Sit n Spin. The laundromat was basically next door to the bar where live bands would play. But that business is long gone. The old building may have been bulldozed to put a large condo project. Seattle in the 90s was absolutely awesome with the grunge scene still strong. Businesses like that have faded away in Seattle.
