Mistake number one STOP USING FABRIC SOFTENER PEOPLE! It's bad for your clothes and your machine.
@danhutchinsonbackup Жыл бұрын
At least I'm smart and don't use it (unlike my mum who always uses it). The only thing that enters the softener compartment on my washers is vinegar when washing towels and bedding

Using too much detergent. Using the pods....they contain way more detergent than is needed in a load. Leave the door of front loaders & the lid of top loaders open between uses so the machine can dry out ...this will help prevent mold & nasty odors.

id propose that the last one is a child rearing mistake, not a laundry mistake 👀
@seekeroflight85 Жыл бұрын
The second one doesn’t work when most of the clothes are dry and some are still damp but it reads dry. Or when you have a pillow that takes several dries and the machine thinks it’s dry after one. I’ll stick to my timed drying
@NickCaruana Жыл бұрын
It depends down to what cycle you’re using and what dryness level you’ve selected. For things like down-wear your dryer is programmed to dry this differently to normal cotton garments and so the cycle is designed to take longer for efficient drying of padding. Whilst synthetic clothing such as dri-fit will of course dry quickly and so these need to be separated for your dryer to do an effective job at drying, and a better job at fabric care. It sounds counter economical, not loading the dryer completely, but with sensor dry cycles they also adapt to how much there is so you’re not running the dryer for a larger load. Ventilation is so important with sensor dry and so if your filters are immaculate you’re likely to get better results.

I always use timed because on my dryer sensor dry cuts off the cycle when the stuff isn't even dry yet and my washer dryer doesn't even have sensor drying. The other 2 I completely agree with

front load washers are kinder to clothes, and use minimal energy and water by extending cycle durations. Which sounds counter economical, but front load washers use inverter motors and can cut energy consumption by 60-80%
