I picked up a 2 burner Camp Chef stove with the griddle accessory for camping/tailgating this spring, and liked it so much that I'm planning to get the 4 burner grill/griddle model for home. Without knowing how you approach the griddle, I would just say that less is more. Even on low they will build heat and you can easily overshoot temp for eggs. The trick is to use indirect heat as on a grill, and make a cooler zone on one end. Eg once the bacon starts to contract, consolidate and turn down or off one end burner. It will retain residual heat and keep a lower temp when you're ready for the eggs. There are some great griddle channels out there to learn a lot of the techniques. My go to is the flattopking. He's good at explaining and showing the how/why behind his technique.

It's really awesome that your kids are growing up learning to eat the right way. Most people on Keto, Carnivore, or Ketovore still let their little ones eat crap until a certain age. I wish I had learned what I know now beck as a child instead of having to relearn the right way to eat in my late 20s now into my early 30s. I ate nothing but garbage for my entire life and even when it came to eating "right", everything I thought I knew was completely backwards. I always thought butter and anything involving fat was bad news and to stay away from it if I wanted to get healthy. I couldn't have been more wrong. Better late than never, I suppose.

Watch the videos from Dr Ken Barry here on KZbin. My journey has been crazy: 3/2021: whole body rash. Started 90 days elimination food plan. Turns out I am highly sensitive to all seed oils, most fruit and veggies and grains. When I take a food sensitivity test, it often changes and I keep having inflammation! It sucks! I started carnivore after gradually decreasing veggies not on purpose, I just grew tired of all the chopping, so I’d eat root veggies every 3 days. No real improvement not like the 90day thing from last year. Felt tired all the time. In just four days of loose carnivore and two days of straight meat, 8-12oz of decaf coffee in the morning, I sleep through the night. I feel refreshed after 7-7.5 hours of sleep. I used to need at least 10 every night. I haven’t woken up multiple times in the middle of the night. I worked an 11 hour day and afterwards I felt great! I didn’t “hit a wall” like I normally do. The only time I felt like garbage was when I ate some veggies the other day, I woke up feeling like i got hit by a truck. I have no clue what the woman used for oil. It’s a little challenge for me to “eat” the fat from the meat. But I made homemade chicken broth so I add the fat to that warmed up and drink it. I think it’s definitely worth trying. I’m 37.5 and this is the second time in my life I have real energy all day long since I was a little girl. I think gradually is key. Watch the videos on beginner carnivore by Dr Ken Barry. He has some good tips. He says try it for 4-8weeks and see how you feel.
