Notes about this video: - 500GB, not 500MB of footage for desert island video - moved in with my mum Sept 2020, not 2021 This video was a bit more sombre than my previous update videos. I was concerned it was a little too __ at times. But I have to stay true to what has happened and how I feel (I'm also just coming out of a tough section of work so you may have seen that in my eyes) I often think about how it will be reflecting back on these videos in many years, seeing how things develop and change. In my last year of 'Working For A Living' I made approximately $80,.000 US. To get it, I worked 10 hours a day, five days a week. I ran a crew of 12 mechanics, some of whom loved Trump with a passion bordering on they psychotic. I worked for an entitled rich bastard who was never happy with anything, in a shop that was on the verge of being shut down by the Fire Department. I quit a few days short of my 60th birthday to start my own business. Never looked back. Your videos are a refreshing change from my usual habits. From the rat-a-tat delivery of "Project Farm" to the Stooge-like antics of "Junkyard Digs" I guess I prefer a bit more vitality in my viewing. And Time spent with you is time well spent. You're calm, honest and growing. Your accent is mesmerizing. Keep up the good work!

I really relate to being solo in everything. I did that for a decade and it was very draining on many levels. There was the financial strain as well as having to be decent enough at ALL of the things in life, even things like car care, taxes, and investments which are so not my natural areas. But having nobody to bounce ideas off of and to share decisions with was what has taken the biggest toll. When I hit 45, I knew I needed to get more focused about making money again and having access to health care, so I left being a doula and went back into a corporate job. It was a hard trade-off, because I loved the doula work so much more, but I had no benefits (living in the US, so no healthcare without an employer) and the income was unsteady. The idea that there is no perfect solution, just trade-offs, has been helpful (once I got past the resistance). It is helpful to hear someone else's process and winding journey! Suggestions for new videos: Instead of expensive or exotic cures that are outside of most people's budget, can you do more videos on things within most people's budget and limitations. Use your own current distress as a clue because there are a lot of single people struggling. Pets for companions? Gardening for health and healthy foods? Art expression? Music therapy routines? Walks in the park for nature therapy? How to make human connections through mutual interests/ hobbys? Nesting by creating warm and comforting rooms in your home? More cooking videos! BTW, walking a midsized dog in the park is the easiest way to meet eligible partners that are neither gymrats nor couch potatoes. Its easy to make casual conversation with pets around at the park and safe.

I know it is very trendy right now and it is rather exclusive to women, which may not be good for your viewership, depending on how that leans, but things related to perimenopause if/when that begins to be on your own radar would be great. There are so many ideas about what to do out there that it is overwhelming and I have found myself wishing I had a Laura Try take on some of the suggested practices/products/services for that particular transformation.

I am European, spent 22 years in the USA and then just came back home to Europe to live in my own country but a different town I never knew before to be with my mom who is fighting stage IV colon cancer. What an abrupt difficult move that was!!! I am working remotely but that is not easy because I stress one of the bosses who opposed it is always trying to show it won’t work!!! Anyhow… I love any and every single video you put out!!! Just love your tone of voice, your accent, your interests, your outlook and how you are so real!!!

One of the owners actually supported me on the move because her own mother had dealt with this awful disease as well as her husband and mother in law. I wish we find a cure soon!
