Some of the things Bacall says, I totally agree with. Especially on aging and youth. Don't run from your age. Look your best, but not look like you are never going to be. Truth is really important and her point I love and the point on having character. Good for them. That is one reason I loved Boggie!
@Omnicient.27 күн бұрын
She later had surgery. She's like Fonda that way; they like to project such thinking then go off and play the game.

Her autobiography By Myself and Then Some was such a joy to read. Get the Kindle sample and you’ll be hooked. When she talks about her love of the stage as a girl, first meeting Bette Davis, and all her experiences, the excitement jumps off the page.

I met a beautiful young lady back in 1985 ((strangely) - We both lived in a nurse's home - We met when She commented on my Bogie & Bacall posters I had on my room wall ! - Her Mom was called Betty & Her name was Paulla (When I met her she was plain old Paula - She had removed one L when applied for nursing) - Betty Bacall DOB 16 Sept 1924 & my Paulla DOB 12 Sept 1964 - So many little connections & didn't realise at the time - Paulla was the one but fate stuck its interfering nose into our relationship & I let her slip through my fingers ! She was gorgeous too !

This women was one of the last of the great TRUE TALENTS... While she was before my time, I don’t see the performances today in 2019 like when I watch for example, her work as well as the rest of the great gang back then. Today! Well , they just make talent with computers, looks and learning lines is a lost art/talent... I love to watch her movies...She was one of the true Ladies that will always be a legend.

if she means that the stars are planned forever & so are we, yes. Correct. God planned for us the same as He planned the whole universe. We have choices that change our paths but, God knows our choices before we make them. When, or if we flub up our lives we can choose to change it & we can ask for God's help to change it for the better. Thank God for THAT! She does have some good points. I have always liked her.

She was always a straight shooter. I think Becos she had enormous confidence. Read her autobiography. Great read. How she had to cope so young when Bogart was dying was just shocking. She handled it, even if she was already seeing Sinatra on the side. As some sort of support. Seems unforgivable given Bogart’s values on cheating, but Bogart’s death was over a long period of time. And she had 2 young children to raise on her own in her future. She said she was so glad Sinatra called off marriage to her, becos she said in hindsight she now sees marriage to him would have been very unhappy.

I don't know if Bacall had any "Work Done", but if she did, it was very slight & well done. So many "Celebrities" have turned themselves into Caricatures of themselves with all the Botox & Bullshit. Ms. Bacall grew older gracefully and was Beautiful til she died.
