Also, you need to access if something has come between you and your spouse...it could be work, adultery in the heart...anything. The same way idols come between our relationship and the Lord. So, access your relationship the same way you would assess your relationship with the Lord when you don't feel close to Him.

I agree with 90% of what she said. However, I would prob not tell a person(s) struggling with this, "if your marriage was not founded on Christ, it will fail" (paraphrase)... While any relationship not founded on Christ is in extra danger from the enemy, if a couple who was not following Christ at the time of their marriage and was to hear this advice, it would be almost like giving them the kiss of death to even try. ANY one or any relationship can be made new in Christ, or rekindled in Christ, not matter if the circumstances in which the marriage was started Godly or not. Its never too late to do the right thing and to trust Christ with your marriage, or anything. He is a redeemer, bringing life from the grave.
