My mom studied at Harvard law and she said that Elle Woods probably could have gotten accepted. - Unique (major wise) - 4.0 at UCLA (actually a really good school) - actually quite smart - She’s a woman so kinda diverse - rich so they’ll make money - Pretty good on the LSATs Besides for the fact that she low key didn’t give an Essay, she did pretty good. The actual law school part was questionable though Edit: everyone is coming at my neck cause I said “pretty good” lsat. I’m 15, idk the full lsat score lol.

I feel like the point of the movie was to portray how bad Elle’s idea of Harvard and “becoming serious” was at the beginning. She thought that she had to act, dress & think serious to get the “love of her life” back, but she never thought of it as a characteristic and mindset, but more of a character & costume. Hence why she went through all that troube, from fashion to law, from pinks & fur to plaids & books. Because that’s what she thought law was about. She starts to care less about looks and more about grades towards the middle, and yes they just show her reading and not truly crying or stressing, but they do show how she struggled in her own way in her own little world of privilege and how, at the end, she just wanted to get taken seriously. Is it a bad representation of law school? Yes. But that’s because it’s seen through Elle’s eyes. :)

I guess it depends what law school you went to. Because in mine, there were some gorgeous and well dressed people who were equally as smart and had high grades even if they partied a lot - those people you aspired to be and most people wanted to be friends with rofl. Also people said hi to each other every time. And people did laugh at each other (specially the self designated class clown - who everyone was friends with). Elle did cry!

I went to The uni of Manchester! To be fair there's always this 1 person in the class who will always ask the most random questions! When we got to year 2 and 3, everyone was actually looking forward to him making a witty comment or asking a random question, because that woke us up lol. It was all good natured (:

(i'm late) but you said that it's unrealistic for people to immediately raise their hands whenever a teacher asks a quesiton but that's not really the case. every class has like 2-10 (depending on class size) straight shooters that do this and most times get the answer right. the only thing that the movie got wrong is that those straight shooters always wear a suit on the first day of class. no idea why lmao.

Your comments about law students not having dress sense is actually different at my uni! The law students here are known for being the most put together, and I always feel out of place whenever I go into the laws buildings. For example no law students wear trainers to school, guy or girl. It's all heels, boat shoes and moccasins
