Saddest part is that this episode was based off a real case, the 2006 murder of Jennifer Moore. This actually happened with her and, what's more, the media blamed her for the way she dressed, for having a fake ID, and drinking and going out. Absolutely horrible.

She was in most of the episodes but towards the end of the show the actress chose to leave and she was recast but it just wasn’t the same. Her name is Molly Ephraim and she portrayed Mandy Baxter on the sitcom show that starred Tim Allen.

@@DanVaverick There have been dozens of famous actors that portrayed characters on Law & Order, especially on Law & Order: SVU and not all of them just portrayed characters before they were super famous, some just chose to be on the show when they were well into their successful careers. Robin Williams the perfect example of that when he portrayed a villain on SVU. Some actors even portrayed multiple characters, like Sarah Hyland and Sarah Paulson. There’s so many I can’t keep track of them all but aside from the three that I mentioned, other ones that I can think of off the top of my head are: Zoe Saldana, Carol Burnett, Elizabeth Banks, Bob Saget ❤️, John Ritter, Hayden Panettiere, Alec Baldwin, Bradley Cooper, Ariel Winter, Hilary Duff, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Brittany Snow, Dylan Walsh (one of the darkest/best episodes of SVU was “Annihilation” which starred Dylan but he also portrayed another character on the show as well I believe), Rick Fox, Amanda Seyfried, and MANY more. Hell, even Joe Biden was on the show in season 18 when he was Vice President.

@@ghostbleach3512 Incorrect. Special Victims Unit does not ONLY deal with what you listed. The unit also investigates domestic violence, abuses of children, the disabled and elderly victims. The crimes don't have to be of a sexual nature for the latter. Gender identity, sexual preferences, and equality rights are also crimes they look into. When a case involves a child under the age of 18 a detective will investigate. I thought this case was a kidnapping bc Ann Marie was forced inside a cab off the hwy.

Because she was drunk and just as likely to throw up and then pass out like her friend. And because he had work to do and didn't want her making drunk phone calls for the whole night. Yeah, it wasn't a great decision. But it's a realistic decision for a late-night city worker dealing with two totally pissed-and-entitled teens to make. There were very VERY low odds of her meeting with terrible danger within a block of the tow-center. The girl just happened to have horrible luck.

They enabled their daughter to be a prostitute. They did nothing to help her. They abandoned her to the streets and that life than they wonders why she's gone. Maybe you should have actually taken care of your child. even if it's a drug problem they still need help because if they don't get help like she didnt they end up doing anything they can to get the drugs which led to her life ending. Her parents are indirectly responsible for her life being ended. Shame on them.
