It's kind of weird how outstanding young male actors usually are in SVU episodes. One of the most realistic depictions of a troubled kid I've ever seen is the one where the parents of a boy kept their child's abuser safe for hush money and it always felt awful that the aggressor didn't get what he deserved and the young boy didn't get the help he needed. The episodes from the first seasons really were something else.

Question to lawyers: can’t he sue the girls’ parents? The DA might not want to put the 4 years olds on the stand but a monetary lawsuit could, right? And if parents don’t want the 4 years old on the stand, they can just agree to the terms of the lawsuit, right? Maybe losing most of their money would at least teach those girls a lesson. And if the school won’t give him his job back, he can sue for that too, right? With some firm that does pro bono work?
@cmauthorАй бұрын
Absolutely he can sue them for defamation. In order to have a defamation case, you basically have to have three conditions met: 1) someone made statements about you knowing that they were false, 2) the statements were made publicly, either in writing or vocally, and 3) the statements caused great financial burden to you. He lost his job because of those false allegations, he should sue those girls and their parents for all they're worth. Especially since he'll probably never be able to teach because of the stain to his reputation, at least he can try to recoup some money to be able to live off of savings for a while until he can figure out a new path in terms of a career.

All of that was awful, but you wanna know what really, really gets to me?? *How easily it could've been avoided.* I mean, if Liv and the gang had just slowed down and taken the time to really listen to what Jackie had to say, they would've seen that those two boys were being coached into lying by their sisters. But of course, as always, Liv chose the victims and didn't even listen to the accused's side. Now, an innocent man's life is ruined, the little b*tches responsible got off with a slap on the wrist, and the NYPD got even more bad credit than it already had at the time.😠😠 It's also how Amanda clearly knew that something was off about the case right from the beginning and didn't say anything.😤😤

The damage the girls inflicted on their brothers is going to be their punishment. It's not something that will go away, the brothers and parents will always doubt whatever those girls say going forward and as the boys grow up and better understand what happened they'll likely resent them for making them the face for child molestation that didn't happen. Also even their light sentence will affect their lives in a major way, they're NEVER getting into another dance program as a minor and are likely not going to cut it in the adult field either. Loved the actor for the accused guy, he nailed the part. You could feel the dawning horror of injustice that he realizes he can't fight against. He can sue them for slander though, his entitled damages for character assassination destroying his high profile career and them having pleaded out will give him a strong case.

And just think this does happen in real life , my uncle was falsely accused, took him years to clear his name , and the one girl never faced charges , the girls came forward and said she was lying because she did not like her step dad

We need a new episode where a group of falsely accused by SVU return to try and get the unit shutdown, it should be a massive mid season/finale where things get very dramatic

I'd have sued for the money lost been falsely locked he was right Olivia didn't want to know Mr Jackie's side of it. She was all bent on locking him up. To hear District attorney to say they wont be charging the girls because it will destroy them that peed me off. the girls should be locked up or punished. All because they heard something they didn't like they wasn't good enough for the signing competition

There’s a moral to this story,DO NOT MAKE FALSE ACCUSATIONS OF CHILD MOLESTATION, if you do, then you should go to prison for as long as a real serial Pedophile should. Most importantly, 1 of the 7 things God Hates, A Lying Tongue. To all who are sinners, repent and believe the gospel of Jesus, for though we are born as sinners, we can die saints bought by the blood of Jesus Christ so that we could go to heaven.

Only thing unrealistic about this is the fact that he was released when they found out he was innocent Realistically they wouldn't have even bothered

What? Is that really how things would realistically go down?

Perfect example of Woke Gen Z. These entitled girls were angry that they were told they have no talent that they forced their brothers to lie about a kind man hurting them. I was ready to believe in his guilt, but i had doubt. Especially with the way Mega Karen came out of the woodwork lying. She helped to encourage the lies. The girls hurt their brothers physically and emotionally and hurt the teacher too. Mega Karen probably orchastrated it like she did with her ex husband. I feel bad for the boys, ex husband and the teacher. This is too sad and too common. It needs to end. And the girls should get more than a year's probation. It's like they are mocking children and the man who's career was almost destroyed.

This episode was crazy. The girls did this all because they wanted him to coach them for talent shows like the one he was on and was told they didn’t have it. I get being upset but to do all of this to him …That was just insane. And the fact his whole life was ruin. No one had his back either. It’s like he already had two strikes against him before any evidence. Even though it was finally proven he was innocent, the damage was already done. He can’t go back to teaching or coaching. It was national news.
