It's very hard to see the person that killed your loved one, living life, when your person doesn't get to. I've had 3 close family members murdered. One of them by a kid I sat next to in 7th grade math class. He stabbed my best friend/cousin 117 times as they were getting off work, she was his manager at a pizza hut and he tried stealing the night deposit from her. She wasn't found until 7 hrs later when the Hardee's next door noticed someone laying half in and out of a car in the parking lot. She had an open casket and you could see her wounds on her face, we tried to cover as many as we could. She was burried in a long sleeve button up shirt with a turtle neck underneath. She loved Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, so we took little stuffed Tiggers and covered her hands, ears and face as much as possible. Her killer was sentenced to life without possibility of parole
