I've seen this case before. Regarding going from hospital to home birth, their first baby was found to have drugs of some kind in her system at birth. This caused them to have to deal with CPS etc and the home birth wouldn't involve any such screening/tests. I dare say that's the real reason for the change.

My 1st son wasn’t gaining weight and was diagnosed with failure to thrive but they couldn’t tell me why and one day I took him to be weighed and he had lost weight and so I took him to the large children’s hospital and told them I wasn’t leaving until I got some answers. Well they got a specialist down he took one look at my son and said I know exactly what’s wrong with your baby he is lactose intolerant he put him on a special prescription only formula and he changed almost over night he was so much happier. I don’t get how they could let her go without seeking medical attention.

Who needs to google how not to stave your baby? We didn't have internet and cell phones when I had my 4 babies. It's (usually) instinctual to feed your babies, change them and give them daily baths. A "growth spurt" is not marked only by extra sleeping, but extra hunger. That baby should be crying for food every hour, wet every time the diaper is checked - especially after nursing - and noisy about being wet... This child suffered repeated starving-into-a-catatonic-stupor incidents. Poor, poor little girl!

I find myself hating this woman... I already despised the man. I know it is because I can't understand. - I can't understand, as a mother, being gone all night and not absolutely-having-to touch my baby. - I can't understand not worrying and running to the doctor if my baby's cheeks were "filled-out one day, and hollow the next." (That s--t would've freaked me out completely!) - I can't understand not worrying if my infant slept through a feeding, much less repeatedly. I realize that she's lying and covering-up... I just don't understand letting it get to the point of needing to cover up!

If this was me and my wife, I wouldn’t allow more than 12 inches of space to get between us. His permanently negative attitude and abrading cynicism have long left his wife emotionally isolated. Just look at her while he’s sitting there too. She’s sitting there as if she is the only person in the room. She already knows he has no comfort or support to offer. So sad.

I haven’t had my own children yet but I had two step kids in a past relationship. Those babies were the first to eat before anyone, even if it was the last thing we had in the whole house. Hearing that this baby was completely starved for weeks is infuriating. My boys would come up and ask for something to eat all the time even if they just ate lunch or dinner and sure enough they are getting a snack. It’s mind boggling that they just didn’t care.

Babies cry continually when hungry…….how do you ignore that?…- until they can’t cry anymore…..how sad little baby… what despicable parents….do they think no one will find out?….it’s pretty obvious..
