Sovereign citizens are brainwashed in their community groups to believe that they know the laws and their rights while lawyers, judges, police, etc. are misinformed as to what the law is and it is their job to educate them. That is why a lot of sovereign citizens travel around with a mountain of irrelevant court cases and unofficial paperwork. I am not surprised that he dropped his lawyers, even when he doesn't understand what they are doing.

His court-appointed lawyers must have been so relieved not to have to deal with Brooks' inane Sovereign Citizen ramblings. Imagine trying to give this PoS a competent legal defense while he's in the back seat screaming about subject matter jurisdiction.

He needs to be in control. He can't stand being left in the dark about things and being towed along not knowing what's happening. This was his way of regaining what he thought was control over his defence. This guy is by far the dumbest person I have ever seen.

Beating these charges is not his goal. His goal is to make as big of a spectacle as he can and live on in KZbin history like Ronnie O'Neal did. These guys know they're done and they have nothing to lose by doing this. It makes court more entertaining for them to represent themselves rather than sitting there silent while their attorney gets all the attention.

@Timorias2 жыл бұрын
When you watch the whole hearing then compare it to all the complaints he had in court it is ridiculous. Every complaint or issue he had, HE WAS WARNED ABOUT. Even tiny things like “you may have trouble accessing evidence in jail” and “I cannot give you legal advice” / “it is only your attorney’s responsibility to explain things to you.” All these things he complained about and was summarily warned about. He has no shot of ever getting out of jail.
