He is referencing all those article In an attempt to "prove " Depp received negative publicity before the op-ed and that's his addiction issues were the reason he was fired. However, I couldn't believe he actually referenced a tabloid article and rogue website called Behind The Magic in an attempt to prove Depp was fired from POTC before the op-ed though. It's laughable at best that he is relying on gossip magazine which are not a legitimate source of information and have been sued numerous times for defamation themselves as a desperate attempt to prove that's true. I love how Mr. Hollywood shut him down. Lol

The process of being a good lawyer isnt the same as a research paper. I am assuming you are talking about the trash op'eds etc that he refers to. He isnt saying that any of the articles are telling any truth. For this case it doesnt matter if Johhny Depp smoked crack cocaine before every set of his previous movie, drooled and failed to remember a single line. The point was that there exists negative articles, truth or fake, any of which could have caused JD to miss out on the future movies. It makes it really hard to judge how much money he lost due to Amber and how much he lost due to any of the real or fake articles written about him.
@bonniehowell92062 жыл бұрын
@@roberthiggins8234 That was exactly what the defense was doing by referencing the multiple tabloid articles about Depp's drug and alcohol use. However, I believe OP was referring to the tabloid article and the rogue website that referred to that same tabloid article that claimed Depp was fired from POTC in an attempt to prove that he was fired from the franchise before the op-ed. Marx stated that is not a reliable source of information and there were no quotes from any Disney executives which doesn't make those particular claims credible.

Mr. Bania (spelling?) is an excellent witness. It’s cool that he’s built a whole career around the specialty of how the internet impacts the market performance of an intellectual property. He was able to show very clearly with documented data that Heard’s allegations did measurable damage to Depp’s reputation, and given that part of this guy’s expertise is in calculating the monetary value of damages to an IP’s or person’s reputation, he’s very well qualified to testify that she did cause monetary loss to him through her false allegations. The case is justified and he should be awarded the damages he is seeking.
