Libby was so smart to think of filming this potential threat. I wish she’d quickly emailed or texted it- or told him, “I’m sending your pic to my dad, stay back” - maybe he’d have thought better if it and said, “I’m just walking here.” And gone on and left them alone. This fourteen year old child had to solve her own murder. It’s ridiculous how long it took to arrest Richard Allen for this. He looks exactly like the video and drawings and admitted he was there at the time; then confessed, unprompted, to his wife and mother.

The first big problem with this case was you had both civilians and police personnel form a tiny police force in a tiny town of less than 3000 people running around all over the crime scene. The biggest thing these guys probably ever had to deal with is a drunken brawl in the local gin joint on Saturday night. It didn't at least start to resemble a real investigation until they called in the Indiana state police. Initially these guys were in way over their heads. Hate to say it but, Just sayin.

As far as any confession goes, He was in a prison awaiting trial. He was probably spending every day being shouted at and threatened by other inmates the whole time he was there. The guards probably weren't any better. For all any body knows he could have been told by someone in there either own what you did and confess or when you leave here it will be in a bag. The judge should throw out those confessions and just say, Look either prove he did it with evidence or he walks. Libby and Abby deserve a whole lot better than the wrong person being convicted while the person that did these monstrous things is still out there. Society deserves better too.
