I just left a 29 year relationship with a narcissist, I moved quietly, covertly one day while he was at work. It’s been 31 days since the day I walked out, and he doesn’t know where I’m at; I’m so paranoid and frightened. I’ve gone no contact so I’m not sure how he’s reacting, but my imagination is picturing the worst.

People with Narcissistic personality disorder use people including their own children. It’s all about what and who benefits them. They also can’t empathize. They fake their identity, love bomb you , gaslight, manipulate etc They are dangerous individuals because nothing they say is accurate and are capable of murdering their children just to destroy the other parent whether it’s an ex or not. They don’t care. Anyone who is involved with a narcissist and think she or he won’t hurt the kids better think again, just saying.

Turns out he beat me and 3 other ex girlfriends before me. Talk is cheap. Don't believe a word of it. It's a tactic to make you feel safe until they unleash their evil. Another young girl from India locked herself in an airport hotel room trying to escape, both if I remember did not have positive outcomes. The SA "6th wife" has not been heard from since and another I just read about a 16 yr India bride was set on fire in the "town square" bc she wanted to divorce and go back to highschool...there are few documentaries on yt and other streaming media on this subject. My ex wife is a narcissist I have complete & total sympathy for this woman. Narcissists are experts at brainwashing you. People who haven’t experienced it have no idea how bad it is. Personally I’ll probably never be able to be a serious relationship again bc it’s just so traumatic even without the physical aspect like this woman & probably most women also experience.

OMG.I have been gaslit by my husband for the last 35 years. He blamed me for everything. He poisoned me last October. No one believes me He turned my 4 adult children against me. Just left in January and filed for Divorce. Trying to keep myself safe now. I feel very alone and frightened. Will need therapy for the rest of my life. I relate so much to your atory. Thank you for making people aware of this Sinister and Dangerous Behaviour.❤

Hi Morgan Metzer, I think a co-author partnership between you and Dr. Ramani Durvasula, the author of the book "It's Not You: Identifying and Healing from Narcissistic People" would be an amazing way to tell your story because she's another person who just understands and "gets it" the way that fabulous police officer did. All the best to you and your twin kiddos 💖👩‍❤‍👩
