Not necessarily. The phrasing was poor, yes but he did nothing wrong in regards to notifying the police of his firearm (under normal circumstances and it were somebody else). If a cop asks you where it’s located, they’re asking for their safety so they can respond accordingly if you reach for it *or* if the situation is escalating. “Don’t worry about it” while backing up is escalating the situation. I got into a wreck recently and I always have a firearm in my car. When the tow truck came, I let the cop know so I could get it and secure it. They’re response: “well you better secure it”.

I actually worked with this kid when he was in like 4th-5th grade. His twin brother was so sweet and kind but this guy was evil and unstable. He threw a book at someone in a classroom and stormed out one time and in the hallway some random mom was walking to have lunch with her kid and he punched her in the stomach so hard she needed medical attention. He was violent and disturbed from the get-go. He had a loving and supportive family, but the demons in his head and poor choices kept him from succeeding.
