Interesting points you make on the new mayor and her capabilities. Liverpool as a tourist city is not robust enough to weather all storms and needs to diversify. We are a popular brand as a city but we don't have the capabilities to encourage growth. Tourism isn't dead but it's on the ropes and what else do we have.

For me, Liverpool's best quality has to be the people. But also one of the worst qualities is also the people, particularly the corrupt ones. When I state on this podcast that the politicians have followed process when assets have been either gifted or sold for less than true value, I believe that to be a fact. That doesn't mean to say that various people will not gain a sentence due to their allegiances to Liverpool's underworld, which sadly have been embedded within the corridors of power within the Cunard. The Police will make their position public by the end of this year. The outcome will be shocking to us all.

If you look at what we created as a business, a group of entrepreneurial Hotels that seamlessly gave back to a group of our most vulnerable people, via two homeless shelters, by sharing the combined profits with human beings who have fallen through the cracks of our society

What a person Lawrence is. Inspirational and honestly has glass ceiling put up in front of him by corrupt or badly managed council staff. How many more in the country are in a similar situation, to him. With 17000 deaths in the UK who have died from just Covid, with an average age of 82 which is 1.5 years higher than the average age of deaths in the UK, which is a stark difference to what we were lead to believe. Why didn't they ask Lawrence Kenwright about his failed Signature Works Ltd adventure and the Bling Bling building . Under this failed adventure Kenwright sold Lease Options With Full Title Guarantee on the Bling Building , which didn't belong to him and which he didn't have any right to sell . A good number of "suckers" ( including me ) fall in this tramp and at more than 20,000 GBP per unit , lost MILLIONS of Pounds . The Agreements signed by Kenwright included a Put Option to be exercised at any time and to be paid by Signature Works within 90 days . Kenwright hasn't paid one single Pound to anyone and the millions he collected have disappeared , so have Signature Works Ltd . A lot was published about it and I wonder whether the interviewers in this program didn't know about it or just preferred not to touch the subject.

Joe Anderson podcast was excellent but just a couple of things bothered me (1) surely with Joe's employment history and high salaries, he must have saved enough so his wife did not have to take a cleaner's job ? doesn't make sense. (2) Also couldn't Joe's lad, who we all know has a few bob, have helped so his mother did not have to spend her remains years mopping floors ?, I know most sons would have. Joe and Lawrence together won't happen as it will prove one is telling porkies. "Joe offered me a £100 million and I said no" REALLY ???

@@patbyrne5162 Because he profited massively from disposal of council assets like Millennium House (now The Shankly) at bargain basement prices. He threw up an illegal shack like extension on top of it and started a large apartment scheme on Old Hall St both of which are still unfinished after many years. Investors in his schemes have not been given the returns he promised them now for a extended period of time, while his 30 James St operation was closed due to rat infestations in the kitchens, and the less said about his general attitude to health and safety the better, as a guest there died due to falling down an open staircase. Lastly his 'homeless' shelter was a glorified drug den done purely for the PR when the council was already opening its own such facility. The only problem Kenwright has with Anderson was the mutual back scratching stopped, otherwise he'd probably still be singing his praises even now.
