B Gaudin it’s more than a multiple choice test and if you look it up all the websites and professionals have Californias bar exam as the hardest to pass.
@groundtofu42384 жыл бұрын
B Gaudin California has the lowest passing rate out of any state and consistently fails the majority of test takers most of whom go the traditional route and have 7+ years of education and apprenticeships behind their belt. In 2018 they literally failed 64% of exam takers. Also if all states used the same bar exam don’t you think you would be able to move and practice at another state without re-taking it...
@tosh47714 жыл бұрын
@@groundtofu4238 I believe every state uses the MBE (multistate bar exam) for one day of its testing. The bar exam is over multiple days. In Texas, I had to do: (day 1) state law true/false, the MPT, then (day 2) the MBE, then (day 3) the essay portion (which was 12 essays in 6 hours). The MBE is 200 multiple choice, but the multiple choice are not two sentences, it's a long fact pattern and two of the answers are usually right, one it just more right than the other. And I believe 25 of the questions don't count, they're practice questions for the test makers. It sucks. The MBE is hard, but it's usually the essay/state portions that people fail on.

The way I understood it, from her interviews, she is doing this BECAUSE she wants to better understand the changes that she is inducing with her platform, and how to help more, not because she wants a regular career as a lawyer. So the practical approach that she has chosen is actually really fitting in her situation, she can work around her schedule, while getting the knowledge needed to make the changes she wants to make at the same time. And, to the fact that people think that she has used her connections to get the apprenticeship in a high-profile law firm, is not a very uncommon case. Every single person jumpstarts their career based off of what connections their family has. Some of us just happen to be more/less fortunate than others. And in Kim’s case, the connections that she has, or most of them, is because of her own celebrity status and not her family, which is pretty impressive actually.

Charlie Smith but honestly why don’t privileged people use their power for equality since power has shifted. It brings visibility, diversity etc. Yes the inequality sucks but shouldn’t negate someone else’s degree or studies. When someone accomplished something in my mind its a win for everyone. I think it pulls people down or is embarrassing if people don’t achieve and know their shit like collective reflection rather than someone else achieving hurts the other achieves as if it’s competitive zero sum game. That’s just my opinion though and others are fair to feel differently. Also technically apprenticeship programs work very well for many as schooling often can be obscure, and lack experience. I think another reason why Kim’s studying law is that she’s tired of having the label as just a celebrity. People give tons of bashing towards her when she gets asked as to why she became famous. Maybe she’s just tired of that. Kim might also considered the fact that she has the privilege to study law and be more knowledgeable whenever she speaks about legal things that happens around the world (like the injustice to Ma’am Johnson), she (maybe) wants to use her power as a globally known person to give the people who use the internet/people who know her something to think of, that it’s about time she gets up on her feet and do something where she can become a role model to others. Sadly she gets ton of negative comments about her journey as of now. I hope people get to be open minded about it eventually.
@teresag51375 жыл бұрын
tired of having the label as just a celebrity? she has said that she is meant to be famous and she clearly loves the lifestyle and the attention. i truly don't think she is tired of it. I 100% support celebrities, like Kim, that use their fame/power for the better, but I can't genuinely support a woman that establishes unreal body standards for women and that openly criticizes certain body characteristics that are totally normal (for example, stretch marks and cellulite). even though I will support any kind of positive change she may try to do - like becoming a lawyer and fighting for people's rights - I believe that most people give her backlash because of her whole persona that is based on physical attributes, money and nothing else. that being said, if she wants to become a lawyer, she should go for it. maybe this time she will actually impact the world in a positive way.
@esmescuppabook25575 жыл бұрын
Teresa G. Yeah, but maybe she wants to change now. We’ll never know. We don’t know her personally, we just see her through the internet or TV. And yes she’s established an unrealistic body image for people, that’s how she is. That’s what she wanted. If she has that changed now, she might lose people from her followers and have a less impact as how she wants it to be. My point it, let’s just give Kim a chance even if she’s done stuff in the past that we do not approve. She’s still human after all, we all make mistakes in life. Maybe she wants to do something right that people will acknowledge instead of bringing her down.
@Pomagranite1675 жыл бұрын
If she does well and gets serous about her career, she'll probably be in the spotlight and public opinion of her will shift and change with her. Justin Bieber is cool now for girls bros, but he was not always perceived that way. Same Victoria Beckham, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift. Yes, she's getting a lot of backlash. I even lol'd when I first heard about it. But, she's going about it in a legit fashion, and if she ends up actually being able to practice on her own- Props to her. She's getting old and probably wants a real job that isn't entirely based on her looks. Whatever it is, though, public opinion of you does shift as time goes on and things change.
@teresag51375 жыл бұрын
@@Pomagranite167 100% agreed. she has the right and the means to choose whatever she wants to do with her life/career. but I truly don't think she wants to change the image she is portraying now, based on her instagram and her tv show (which in reality is a shit show) i think it's great that she is so woke and informed about prison reform, but please... what about the millions of people she is influencing via her instagram to have the notion of unrealistic bodies as normal bodies, to use diet products (that she doesn't even use, btw) that are bad for your health, and to thrive for a life where money and luxury are flaunted? this kardashian culture is not cute. it's toxic. if she wants to be a lawyer, she should go ahead. if she is able to make changes in the prison system, I'll applaud her. but please do not forget the amount of power that a person like kim kardashian has over this generation. before we praised her for wanting to become a lawyer, it would be good to see her be a little more grateful and grounded and for her to have just a little bit of notion of the world we actually live in.

@roseclouds58385 жыл бұрын
GamerTwig but then again famous men don’t have to apologise and fix the harm they’ve done to young boys who’ve grown up suppressing their emotions as a reflection of their heros. It’s strange that we hold women to such high standards

Linda Pilat Why exactly do you expect so much out of them though? I don't understand why people bash them for being talentless or not doing anything when they are doing more than your average supermodel but nobody expects anything more from them? They have businesses they're running, KKW Beauty, Kylie Cosmetics, Good American and the list goes on. They are working for their own money and supporting their families and they don't owe anyone else a fucking thing. Since we are talking Kim Kardashian, why do you want her to help so many people? She met with the president to help get a woman out of prison just that alone is more than a lot of people have ever done for someone they don't even know. Not to mention the amount of money they donate to charity, you should do your research. There's clearly a bias, people who disagree with the choices she made when she was only 23 years old can't fathom that people are not the same person 15 years later. An "educated" person would know that one sex tape does not create the amount of money that it would take to build the Kardashian/Jenner empire, that in itself is pretty damn ignorant. Kim was already hustling and a lot of her fame came from Paris Hilton on The Simple Life, a lot of people don't even know who the hell Ray J is and most likely wouldn't even know about the tape if it weren't for people continuously bringing it up to share their opinion about her character. I feel like people like you really need to take the stick out of their asses and recognise that even if their colossal fame did stem from one video, they turned it around and made a name for themselves and that's pretty impressive. Reality TV isn't for everyone, as an "educated woman" you should just watch the things you like instead of the things you don't. you'd be a much happier person for it.

@@BritneyJacobs I read a lot of that but I see we're in alignment, as far as I understood. I did not say I want her to help people. I just thought it was great that she does. As a business woman, she was and is very smart coz she gives people what they want to see and that makes her and her fam good money. Super models just model. It's their job. What does KK do? Pretty much nothing until now but act a fool. That's all I meant. Young impressionable minds want to be like her but she's shown nothing of value to them until now except how to be a perfect example of a thot. People bash her bc she pretty much was useless until this new mission of hers (which a lot of people will say she's just a Beyonce copycat, as well as a Naomi copycat -- she's basic but knows the correct formula to keep an amazing income stream) and forgive us, but we're sceptical. And basically, if she's doing something good by helping people, well then that's great. It's more than what a lot of people who complain about her do. I know I try my best, where I can to help those that I can.
@LP-qn9th5 жыл бұрын
@@BritneyJacobs I just read your last sentence. I see you've made an assumption that I am unhappy. I think you read too much into my comment and have in error created your own narrative. Don't try to play Dr.. Phil. Stick to what you're good at. No I don't watch keeping up. I saw ten minutes of an episode, cringed and gave it another ten minutes of another episode at a later date. Vomit. That is all.
@BritneyJacobs5 жыл бұрын
@Linda Pilat it wasn't an assumption, more so an educated evaluation using the evidence you've given me, no happy person uses their time to smack talk people they don't know. You don't watch Keeping Up, that's cool, but you're also watching youtube videos about them clearly or you wouldn't be here, so there's a level of fucks that you must somewhat give. I think it's a real shame that some people believe if you haven't done much up until now that you're useless. Some of the most successful people only decide what they really want to do later in life and there's nothing wrong with that. I think she's helping people which is awesome but I really don't think she and her whole family should be defined by Kim's sex life from her early 20's, quite frankly it's nobody's business. Successful people will always appreciate the success of someone else even if they dislike them.
@LP-qn9th5 жыл бұрын
@@BritneyJacobs what education allows you to assume people that are not happy use recreational time to make commentary. Everyone comments 😂 I use my free time to watch KZbin videos and talk to perfect strangers in lieu of watching TV. You're smack-talking me, so using your logic, you're unhappy. You commented about the public's dissatisfaction w Kim. I gave you a possible theory (they don't trust it's not a stunt bc she's a thot). You can keep incorrectly reading into it whatever you wish. Clearly, you are able to read words, but the reading comprehension,, it's not to par. Best of luck to you.

I really don't get why people make fun of her though. It takes time to really know what your passion is, and she's brave for pursuing it even if she's already past college age. The first course I took in college was elementary education, then shift too secondary education major in Soc. Sci, then shifted again and finally graduated as Hotel Restaurant & Cruise Ship Management.But After everything it's just not my calling. my mom has been a lawyer for 15 years and has been really successful in Iraq And let me tell u the downsides based of my story (a little sensitive) 1. She’s never around , and at the time she comes home she’s never in a good mood and gets pretty stressed and will yell at us for little things so she’s never emotionally there 2.Every time she failed a case she gets threatened and having our house robbed 3 times , and since I’m her youngest and happen to be female , I was a huge target , one time I got poisoned at a restaurant, I was hospitalized for a week but I’m doing a lot better 3. I have social anxiety yet still forced to meet the people who have their case in my moms hand , I guess to build trust with behaved kids , Iraq was a weird place 4. Though she makes a good amount of money , Most is spent on normal stuff like food , bills , stuff like that but also a lot on baby sitters which most of these babysitters were the most terrible people I’ve met and emotionally abused me throughout my childhood 5. My mom really REALLY cares about her reputation and any little mistake infront of any people she works with will guarantee get me a beating She just gave up and sent me to live with my father who left me when I was 4 so-

@CyrillicSanga5 жыл бұрын
Esiri Eya'ufe I agree, I’m confused. I’m doing my LLB in Australia and almost all our rules are exactly the same as the UK. Over here, if you have not been admitted to the roll, you are NOT allowed to say you are a “lawyer” or “solicitor” as you are misrepresenting yourself. Which can get you in major trouble and possibly bar you from admission. Hopefully, for Eve’s sake, this isn’t the case in England because it would be a shame for her to not be admitted because of misrepresenting herself to a large amount of people.
