Blake's lawsuit is very telling. It focuses heavily on how Justin's team allegedly used PR to damage her image as a way to discredit her, suggesting that by ruining her reputation, people would be less likely to believe her sexual abuse allegations against Justin. This makes her lawsuit seem more centered on the negative press she received during the movie’s press tour rather than on addressing or speaking out against sexual abuse itself. If she truly experienced the sexual misconduct she alleges, she likely wouldn’t focus on blaming Justin for the backlash. Her priority would presumably be addressing the misconduct itself, rather than trying to tie him to the negative press.

And so now seeing that Justin apparently really did care about female survivors and that he wasn’t being vindictive behind the scenes and trying to ruin her reputation, Blake has to be slowly dying on the inside. If his texts and other communications only show what his lawyer is asserting, she really screwed herself. And her lawsuit against him will be one of the most epic fails.

I appreciate you standing by and hearing out all sides before deciding either side is in the wrong here. I’m reminded of the Depp/Heard trial, just in that similar to Amber’s WaPo op-ed, she claimed to be a victim of a smear campaign, and then ultimately a jury decided that that WAS a smear campaign she instigated. Now that we’re here after that NYT article, I think we’ll see what Baldoni’s defense is and have to just keep an open mind and see how it all plays out. The difference in Depp/Heard was Depp was the bigger star by far. Here, Lively took the big first public shot, on Baldoni who is less influential and has everything to lose. Now I think he will fight this to the end and we’ll have to all read hundreds of pages of catty convos between P.R. people until everyone’s actually deposed
@lindseystein96767 сағат бұрын
The difference with Heards op ed is that no names were mentioned and there were generic descriptions of various situations of SA she experienced/witnessed through out her left. With the NYT article it’s explicitly stated who it’s about and a laundry list of direct accusations.

Since when does an actress have a right to edit a movie? Blake seriously crossed a line there.

I think Taylor and Ryan’s fame went to her head. Blake often came across as being entitled and far too sure of herself. Mocking the Princess of Wales spoke volumes. She didn’t expect the backlash because she thinks she’s adored across the globe. The audacity of that being that she mocked Catherine for filtering a photo when Blake has literally filtered her whole face with plastic surgery.

Why didn't BL file a complaint with SAG? I theorize that since SAG's process is not confidential bc if filed, SAG sends a formal complaint (emphasis on formal) to the producer(s). The producers have a right to know who lodged the complaint bc they have a certain amount of time to resolve the alleged issues. This information is on SAG's site.
@RachelSaldana-i8t11 сағат бұрын
No way she wanted SAG involved! First, she pressured/blackmailed for a producer's credit that was not warranted and stripped Jason (she could never have anticipated the duress letter Jamey Heath subsequently submitted which may bury her). Secondly, if Ryan was messing with the script during the strike there would be dire consequences. NOPE! She did it via California Agency because no investigation they would independently conduct could harm her or Ryan's interests.

The discussion around why she would stay if she was being harassed is similar to the discussion why someone might stay in an abusive relationship. There are all kinds of nuance involved, making it hard to leave. But I am NOT suggesting she was an actual victim here or that Baldoni was abusive. It is my suspicion that BL came onto set with DIVA demands and her husband to pressure them into bending to her, and Baldoni fighting back when he needed to to preserve the integrity of the subject matter of the film. BL has a long history of mean-girl behaviour and bullying, tone deafness & racism. She and her husband are problematic.

NY Times suit is to get disclosure not a settlement. Past actions of Lively speak to past PATTERN of bullying behavior of others Interviews I've seen of her support this! & are very much relevant proof to a civil case judgment. Takeover of the film (future rights?), undermining of his future working opportunities, compromise of his standing as being committed to women's issues well before this and humiliating shut out of premiere/credit (pain & suffering) all will be weighed by a jury in their verdict. Expect a massive one for him.

But how can she say she couldn't be around him bc he Sexually harassed her when she Continued working with him after she said it happened to Sony? And why did she refuse the intimacy coordinator? , you have to understand she is more famous, more rich, she has more Hollywood status, so she could walked out without losing a penny where Justin invested 5 years into this Project he spent millions, he's not as powerful rich and famous as her so she had the upper hand and she used that to her advantage and she did exactly what her husband did with the Deadpool where he took from the original director so she's not some poor woman that was too scared to speak up, if you see her interviews she is very rude outspoken for herself although she I mean she's not some poor defenceless actress so she wanted to have more say in films and she saw one opportunity and she took from him The reason she did is bc she hijacked the whole movie but her reputation got ruined!

@ It doesn’t say that in the text messages. He offers a meet and greet and then says that she declined to work on the scenes with the IC. That is not what was asked to her. Then the other person doesn’t say we’ll have the IC run her through the plan when we arrive on set. No…”you will have to show her what you guys come up with.” Then he goes and works on the sex scene with her and doesn’t bring the IC with him. At that point there is NO WAY that he thought that she didn’t want to work on the sex scenes and there is no evidence that he offered or that she declined the IC to be there. Shady AF. He is the director. If he was just being lazy and that is what made the situation difficult…then fine. But then he deserved her criticism. I’m fairly sure it was in Justin Baldoni’s law suit that he didn’t see that list of complaints until around the same point everyone else did when it was posted at Christmas. And to my understanding the meeting that took place in Ryan R’s condo was mainly about the “fat shaming” complaint that Blake had made and discussed with her husband. I don’t know for certain as I wasn’t there. That’s just what I got from reading both documents fully.
@lillianlrogue948011 сағат бұрын
Additionally from the information I’ve read and come across while following this. It seems more that what Baldoni was agreeing to throughout the process of filming was giving Blake and her husband more and more control as Blake was threatening to quit all together otherwise. Baldoni’s text about continuing to take the high road seemed to be more so regarding this and his resolve to get this movie finished and out the best way possible even if he had to make a lot of compromises or more like sacrifices in the creative process more than anything related to SH. When you look at it from that perspective, it makes more sense why she might come out with the list of claims of anything she can twist or frame in a way to make him look bad and herself as a victim in the public’s perception. I think this is why so many people instinctively found the timing of her complaint document coming out as suspicious. It does say something. The initial complaint that was put out by the Times never needed to be seen as factual in any legal sense. What she actually ended up filing could have been different and left out most of those complaints. Of course we don’t know at this point. We can put together all of the information we have and come to some realistic and logical conclusions on some key matters however.

Her goal was to attack his reputation, ruin his career while thinking that she could add the *DV* survivor to her resume, just like she insisted on receiving a producer credit without being qualified and not doing any of the work. She’s went fired the costume designer and refused to talk with the intimacy coordinator, which Justin proved. As for all the crew and other actors, they all look she’ll shocked in interviews because they know how toxic and mean she is, and not wanting to go up against her and Ryan. They knew they would be blacklisted and would never work again in the industry. Her motive is completely clear. She wants the power. You don’t act in a Woody Allen film, think he’s a genius and be friends with Harvey Weinstein, and cry SA . She is the aggressor.
