Love the 3-holers most incredible sound. It’s exciting stuff to see theDC-10’s, L1011s, and 747s strut their stuff in the 90’s, isn’t it weird that watching A380’s land and take off from Asian or European hubs produces no ah ha moments? The biggest of the bunch is without any artistic lines or style, it’s a flying brick or a giant potato, no increase in heart rate or blood pressure. On top of the fact that no carriers could keep it filled enough to make money, it never really grabbed the flier’s imagination. I heard more businesspeople crying and gnashing their teeth when KLM announced that they were phasing out the last of their MD11’s, than when AirBus said “no mas” to building anymore 380’s.

1:09 this dc-10 (N1618U) was active very long time, after united it was fed ex freighter and retired in 2020, almost 50 years in service😮

Damn, that battleship grey livery for United was AWFUL! As an employee at United, the disappointment we all had when they unveiled that livery... Glad they put that one to pasture!

I just can't believe that Boeing did not want to to build such pretty planes like MD-11,DC-10 and DC-8. Boo Boeing McDonald Dougles was better building military Aircraft. Boeing Sucks not 747,757,737,767or777. But the corporation sucks. I like the locked tristar.
