Goatlings has updated a lot and is still strangely active... also the goat name market has gone wayyyyyy up with just the concept of getting to name your goat something selling for millions at times. Also they do a lot of member created stuff and art, so if you're an artist you might like it.

this sounds very similar to a site called subeta, i *love* subeta. the pets are kind of like pokemon(made up creatures loosely based on animals) its a lot more pet centered and you basically make ocs with them and the best ones get a spotlight on the news page. the money system sounds the same except anything with value is pretty expensive if you arent rich.

Marapets is still pretty popular, and has different pets, names of pets are very valuable, an economy, battling, stats, 'magic rocks' (boosters or crystals/diamonds) to give stats, options to get more pet slots, lots of gambling games and other games, a referral shop, the loading time has been increased many times recently so works very fast, clothing (a lot), 'appearance dolls' (costumes), retired items become worth more so better to hoard, bank interest, and seems very similar to goatlings (and every other pet site I've played, which are a lot). I occasionally spend a lot of time on it, lose interest for a bit, come back, and have been doing that since 2012. I lost interest in the other pet sites, and the social aspect of Marapets is likely why I've stuck to it. Will check out goatlings anyway, though! :)
