Lazy Landscaping

The plaintiff says she hired the defendant to do landscaping work and paid him in advance, but he didn’t finish the job. She’s suing for a refund. The defendant says he did a lot of work on the vindictive plaintiff’s yard, and his books say the account is at zero. He’s countersuing for defamation and harassment.

The defendant was in way over his head. Way over his head. If her driveway is 200 yards, and the entire thing looked like the pictures, it will be thousands of dollars to get that repaired and sealed, and I don't think that a respective driveway professional would recommend anything less than tearing it up and repaving it.

Why tear it up, if you’re just putting more concrete down? You clean up cracks and any holes, then fill. Very expensive waste otherwise.

@@user-pt1cz4ot1e because it'll just crack again next year. And it's 600 ft of driveway. And if it all looks like the picture, there's no way he was going to repair that for less than $5,000. At that point in time, those repairs might last for a year or two. If you have the funds, or the equity in your home, install a new driveway. It will increase the value of the property, and pay for itself over time. Patching a driveway like that is just asking for bad news in the next couple of years.
