A song that sounds so simple, until you try to sing along - and realise the vocal range needed. Until you listen carefully and hear the multi layered harmonies. Yet it still sounds so wonderfully simple. A true classic song from a band who never received the recognition they so truly deserved.

Thank you very much Arthur. It was made with the whole album in mind. Videos were made for "How Dare You!", "Lazy Ways", "I'm Mandy, Fly Me" "Get It While You Can" "Art for Art's Sake" - it was going to be a whole "thing." All continuous and tied together by phone imagery. KZbin won't allow me to upload full albums anymore, so I just kind of stopped.

Thank you very much. It was meant to be a whole video for the entire album, with the focus on telephony. But KZbin doesn't like if I upload full albums. Others can. I can't. So I stopped work on the project. Quite a few of the songs were finished.

The ultimate ‘restraint’ Rock Band - so under rated. So superior. The equivalent of Steely Dan in their era.

What a big labour of love this video is! The ending is crude though.
@DrTomoculus2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. As I mentioned above, I had a video planned for the entire album. The crude ending was really just seguing into I Wanna Rule the World, which a video was being made for, it was just hard finding good footage and images that tied in with that song's subject matter. Very difficult! But since then, KZbin is very Anti-Me. I'm prevented from uploading full albums, and I spend a lot of time and work on those things to be a very continuous, balanced final thing. Its very frustrating to see other users uploading full albums without any repercussions, but I'm immediately blocked from any attempt to do the same. It probably first began when Sharon Osbourne's team came after me about a Black Sabbath album I had uploaded that was doing exceedingly well, despite having crackles and pops. I also had Warner Music Group, Virgin, and EMI all in a 3 year battle deciding whether my upload of a Simple Minds album would remain up. I also had Kate Bush's team after me when her catalogue was remastered a few years ago. Like an assault team. So I believe KZbin just said, don't let Dr.Tomoculus upload anything beyond 20 minutes. Seriously. I did a full album remaster of KISS's DYNASTY (1979) which also included two "videos" for Hard Times and X-Ray Eyes. KNOWING I could not upload it as a full album, I divided it into Side A and Side B. KZbin allowed Side A to be uploaded without any issues. I went to upload Side B immediately after. It was blocked immediately after. So either I'm doing something right here, that others think is very wrong, or those who do not benefit greatly from any talents I do possess, and that's just with fiddling with LPs, VHS, Cassettes, CDs, blah blah blah. Were I to have access to master tapes, what could I do? If I'm "good" with just a LP, how good would I be with master tapes. Anyway. KZbin has just found it easier to block any full albums. The big labour of love doesn't really do well on KZbin.
