The only thing that bothers me is that you were worried about community, and how you will be received. I mean, it's your hair, your decision and the only thing that should matter is if you're happy with it or not. I know you started this channel because of dreadlocks, but really, I would watch you no matter what videos you would make because you're an awesome person! It will be definetely a new chapter in your life and enjoy it, no matter what you decide to do with your hair next. I would like to hear about your struggles, how you feel now, how is your hair etc so I'm waiting for more videos :)

You are NOT alone in feeling disconnected -- I started mine in a very iffy time in my life and now I'm feeling like I want more control, but their are just getting in that stage where they look and feel wonderful. I know the time will come when I mean the decision to let go of them but not there yet. Anyways, appreciate your update, support your journey & will continue to follow you! Please do the ramble video. I brushed mine out in December & started the new year dread less, it took awhile before I could really sit down & understand the why of it myself, but what you explained in your video doesn't sound too far off from my personal conclusions about mine ...I was feeling trapped rather than feeling free with them. I know I'll have them again one day, but I have some personal growth to do before I return to my journey. Good luck! More videos, please! Thanks for all your advice so far & here's to seeing what the future holds!

Also, I think it's important for people considering dreadlocks to see that they can be combed out, for them to get an idea what to expect of that brushed out hair (as much as can be expected), & to know how tough/easy/emotional that combing out process is. It was something I researched before combing mine out & it's good knowledge to have.

2019-- the Year of Removing Dreads! I've been combing out my 5 yr old dreads for about a month now, one or two at a time when I actually find the time. I figured the patience it took to get through the messy bedhead stage (two years free form for me) to having nice dreads taught me how to have the patience to comb them out. It's kind of become a nice send-off and end to the experience. Eight left as I type this and every once in a while I hear the Braveheart call of "FREEEEEEDOM!" in my head when I notice how easy loose hair is to manage.

Question: would you please post a video talking about your thought process of why you took your locks out? Also if you were to form dreadlocks again, knowing what you know now about wax, i assume you wouldnt go that route, but would you still use the back comb method? Or would you end up using twist and rip or neglect? 3rd, how much would you say the lock you cut and brushed out actually weighed? Lastly, random, what type of music do you like? Sorry i have so many questions. I hope you answer them. I love you and you helped me with the beginning of my now almost 2 month long journey.
