WHY would humans make this? Is there some way for intelligent humans to make a machine that could detect a replaced unit? Thank you very much LD Products. After years of owning $300 printers that did things I did not need, this does all I need and comes with an ink package. It is too good to be true but it is. I installed it on my phone and succeeded ( I am an old person) so I am not only proud of myself but super happy with this purchase. If this doesn't work, try these instructions: 1. Make sure that the machine is turned on. 2. Open the front cover. 3. Press and hold OK for about two seconds to display Drum Unit, and then press OK. 4. Press the Up arrow key to display Reset and reset the drum counter. 5. Close the front cover.

on my printer DCP-L2550DW I had to press the up arrow to accept the reset and that was the only way it would work. If anyone else is having problems. Please know this worked perfectly for me and it is the opposite of what was said in this video.

Confusing if you watch the video. You have to re-open the door and do this buttons with the door open. And... this didn't work at all for me for a while. Almost gave up. But I unplugged the printer and waited a minute and plugged it back in and then repeated the procedure and it worked.
