After installing a LD drum unit my printer started printing horribly, with occasional dark pages and dark batches of lines at the right edge of pages. It only started doing this after installing an LD drum unit. I also used an LD toner in my Cannon printer and it printed horribly as well, changed back to Cannon brand and it worked fine. So I'm not terribly impressed so far with LD Products.

If you install an off brand Drum, it may give signals that it still needs a Drum. But it will still function. It did for me at least, because I bought a generic Drum.
