Thanks for sharing. I've been debating going to a bootcamp for probably 5 years now lol. I tried the self-study route but just couldn't stay motivated and I'd get so frustrated I just gave up

@@MelinaKim I am on the same boat! But now that I have decided to take up the bootcamp I am confused between Data Science and Web development. WEb dev seems like it provides more opportunities to branch out to Software dev, but Data Science seems to be paying more . I now money shouldnt be a main motivator to decide a career path. But it seems to affect my decision

At first I want to congrats for this great and informative video, I'm looking for apply to the Montreal Web Development Bootcamp, but my mainly fear is the intervew, I'm Brazilian and I think my English speak is basic, I can express 75% of me, but I think it isn't enough to do a good interview to be accepted. But I have to admit, when you said to just demonstrates enthusiasm and motivation I got a little more calm.

I did the Web Development Bootcamp and used a second hand laptop I got for €200 (in 2020) with an Intel i5 and 8GB RAM and that is enough. Le Wagon will check with you if your hardware is good enough before the Bootcamp starts

I can't comment on the Data Science path regards the Hardware. But feel free to reach out to the closest Le Wagon campus with any questions. (I did the Web Dev path remotely, wasn't even at my nearest Campus ^^)

I was fine with a laptop I had for years so I don't think you need anything fancy. But yes, Le Wagon will check with you regarding your laptop before the start date :)

I’m a US citizen who’s seriously thinking about attending the Le Wagon course in London but that’s mainly because I’d love to start working in London. Lol I desperately want to find someone in a similar situation who was actually able to land a job in London after finishing the bootcamp.

Hello Cristal! Yes, I'm currently working in London. It's doable but just keep in mind that it might be a bit harder to get an offer as a junior developer if you need visa sponsorship. Good luck!!

@@ionutmititelu2083 it is possible independently of age but it will be a lot of hard work, during and also after the bootcamp and you need to take time off to do the bootcamp. Speaking as a boorcamp graduate

Hey daniels, you are better off finding other bootcamp that offers in demand coding languages. you will only learn front end for 1 week which is not enough.

How many people dropped out from class? Not everyone is cut to be a developer, and admitting students to an intensive coding bootcamp without any "inclination, talent and experience" screening is really playing Russian roulette with your students..

It depends on various factors such as previous experience and education, location, and the type of job. But it's probably closest to the average entry-level/junior software developer salary of the location you're thinking about.
