...Kinda.
Most videos criticizing Leafy or his clones focused mostly on him being offensive, mean, edgy etc., so I decided to - instead of doing that - show you exactly how the edgy humor(which CAN be funny if there's effort or wit put into it) presented in their creations is extremely lazy and boring, on par with the visual part of their videos - dare I say one could consider calling this movement a one big "content farm".
So I decided to beat them at their own game(literally)

Oh it 100% would, but I personally wouldn't mind that - don't have much problems with people criticizing(or you know, straight up insulting in the case of fanboyism) me even for things like my accent online, but I also do realize how someone could get offended "for me" over something like this, since that kind of stuff can sound weirdly...racist? If that's the right word to use here, you get what I mean. I know if someone else would be insulted in this way I wouldn't be as comfortable with that and would think the person throwing the insults is just kind of a weirdo

Maybe he always was a chill dude, we don't really know him personally, I only knew that he was stirring up controversy on twitter "most recently"(back in like, 2021 I believe) to get some reactions out of people, which is weird to me but hey, who knows how his mind works. That "Ethan Klein and his wife" edit from the pokimane videos was full on weirdo behaviour as well, but it doesn't mean he's anything horrible in reality. As I stated in the video I didn't even think his content was all that controversial to begin with, people oversaturated it a lot over time

@@Iserpesnodhey I think there’s nothing wrong with liking a certain content creato, but sometimes it makes me roll my eyes when people act like someone like hero hei or rev is terrible when i watch them I enjoy them not many people make actual arguments that justify making me change my opinions about said creator, accept if i hear they have pronouns in their bio lol, but honestly I’m just content with watching who i like regardless of what people think of said person as long as they’re not terrible people, but i think people that like people like leafy making fun of people and comedians that make offensive jokes you also have to be able to handle taking it back too otherwise you’re a hypocrite, It’s kinda like if isaac made a joke about autistic people and one autistic person making a video about him and he makes a video crying about it and going how dare you, tldr if you’re gonna dish it out you should be able to take it and regardless punching down is always a must

@@jackster10101 I'd even further expand on your last statement there: I think all public creators(even just viewers making public comments) should to some extent be able to accept both criticizm and hate - of course it's even more amplified for people making content criticizing others(and to a lesser degree for those who like and are actively involved in it) - because if those creators don't accept it they're hypocrites too. "Hate" content is of course steps beyond that, if you're hating, even if you make it fun to watch(or read), you should EXPECT people to retaliate the same way or worse. Nobody needs to respond to anything really, but if you're handling those things extremely poorly then you should probably quit being an online public persona altogether, or slowly work on getting better at that - just know it'd be insanely mentally taxing for you, if it's even worth it all depends on the individual and their circumstances. At the end of the day "hate" really has no merit, so you shouldn't care, while critique should be something you can actively learn lessons from - nobody's perfect, our views are not the same and we can learn a lot from each other - it doesn't need to change our opinions 180 degree to be a good meal for thought and impactful, that's what I always wanted to provide with these videos other than obviously entertainment and fun, which is the #1 priority

Nothing to be ashamed of, we've all been young and liked all kinds of things that are just in many ways really obviously bad from hindsight - once we've seen more and our general outlook on things changes overtime. At the end of the day if it used to provide entertainment then you could argue it's done its job, definetly doesn't stand the test of time though, watching more than one of those videos nowadays is so draining it's not even funny, at least to me

Nice video i really enjoyed it and was very surprised to see you dont have more views, hope you succed. Also i used to watch leafy religiously and loved him as a kid but now when i revisit his content i geniuenly dont understand how i could find that fun in any way, as you said he repeats the same shit in every video has pretty much 3 topics he talks about and uses the same jokes every time. I think that as a kid i acctually liked the repetitivness of it i could watch it with my brain turned off knew exactly what to expect coming in to every video its like something i could watch with 0 risk of disliking it beacuse i already knew what it would be about, like a safe space that doesnt change.

You hit the nail on the head spot on here - I'd also add that it was potentially, for some people, a way to "feel unity" with that entire group who were all thinking the "exact same way" because, as you said, it was always the same thing over and over again - once you saw him upload you already knew that you'll agree with it, there was basically no room for discussion or any clash of different perspectives - it's ironic that, from this outlook, leafy was one of the least controversial creators out there.
