Thank you for your honest review and i'm really glad you enjoy the game! I have some 9000 hours on smite 1 and i too spent a lot of money on cosmetics (up until season 6-7). Smite 2 is still in Beta and is MILES ahead of smite 1 could ever hope to be. UE5 was needed as an upgrade. People on steam bash the game because of them losing skins purchaced in smite 1. They are not reviewing smite 2 based on gameplay, graphics, sound, matchmaking, overall performance etc which is unfair for the game and the devs who stepped on the pedal and made a complete turnaround in the last 2-3 months! Now that the god roster has variety, they will focus on map changes and new mechanics WHILE porting 1 god every week and a completely new god every 8 weeks. In case you didn't see Aladdin, that character is insane! NOTE to the "muh skins" doomers: the devs are also porting the most popular skins over to smite 2 and you can pay them with legace gems (currency refunded to you from smite 1). I don't know of any company getting out of their way to compensate and thank the player base for their support. It is a F2P game after all and they need some sort of income.... Anyways that's my general thoughts on smite 2 and i hope you stick around! P.S. Last weekend smite 2 had over 40k concurrent players which i think beat the all time high of smite 1 during covid. Nuff said.

I appreciate the info drop, especially from someone who not only has the time invested, but the knowledge about Smite 1 (S1 from now on) and its history, in particular the community reaction going into Smite 2 (S2 from now on). I agree with you that many people are leaving hate on steam simply due to what they personally think Hi-rez should have done, which weirdly enough, nobody mentions a fair solution, but sure do know how to hate. I'd like to gesture to anyone who talks negatively towards S2, to approach it as a NEW GAME. In that case, people should not have the need to feel this desire to be compensated items for free, simply because there is a number 2 behind the word Smite. Clearly a ton of work has gone into S2, and it deserves to be maintained and funded as such. S1 is still available to play, besides it may have died or be dead without this resurrection, that many of us seem to enjoy. F2P gamers need to realize, just because it's free to play, trying to remain a F2P gamer and not spending any money, and lets be honest most people try to spend the least amount as possible, actually hurts the product. I can't talk on behalf of the memories people have made in S1, but like i said - it's always there to revisit, it's not like CSGO, where they slapped a 2 on it and left the original behind. :) - wow I'm wordy, sorry i just like this topic, I'm very interested it stuff like this~

i wouldn't say miles ahead, S2 still has alot of refining to do. i would say they are moving in the right direction(sometimes) some characters in S1 feels so much better to me than in S2 but i feel that is because hirez is overwhelmed right now they are doing too much too fast. and for the ppl that are saying all my time in S1 was for nothing i kinda get it, i haven't played smite1 in 2 years but i have thousands of hours with all gods unlocked free to play up to the time i stopped playing, so when i opened Smite 2 this weekend i was surprised i had nothing ported and i only had 5 god that are free in the rotation kinda sucks right? so 30$ =30$ but but 4k hours played = nothing

After putting about 2000 hours into Smite (yes, it was a problem, I failed out of engineering college bc I was addicted af), and then roughly 500 hours into League, there's pros and cons to both. The depth and complexity of roles/builds/comps was far greater in LoL. The adc's are more balanced in Smite due to the nature of all autos being skillshots. In LoL I realized that adcs have a hard time being balanced bc of the fact that you don't have to aim for autos. Happy that you're enjoying it! I love Medusa btw, she hits HARD. If you want another adc that scales off of intelligence, I recommend Sol. Loved her in Smite 1, not sure how she is now. Either way, great video!
@2SK3TCHY10 күн бұрын
oh that's cool! if i gave you my league heroes, would you be able to recommend gods based on their similarities? Kennen (top) Lucian (adc) Jax (jungle) Lux (mid) Gragas (support)
@bmsonic746810 күн бұрын
@@2SK3TCHY I'll try my best (: Kennen - This one's hard, cause there's no alternate mana system (yet, there was a god Cu Chulainn who worked almost exactly like Gnar). I'd say if you're looking for the burst/lightning/flashy combos I'd say Zues. If you're looking for the mobility and safety of a top laner, I'd recommend Hua Mulan (yes, THE Mulan). There's two sides of the same coin, though, as each lacks something from being a true Kennen arch-type. Lucian - If you're looking for the minigun ult, I'm sorry to say that there really isn't one outside of Anhur, but he doesn't really play like Lucian does. I'd say if you're just looking for a great auto + ability weaver with some primo schmovement, I'd recommend Jing Wei. Jax - There's a few options for this one. If you're wanting the lockdown gank type of playstyle, choose Fenrir (he's pretty much WW). If you're wanting the incredible tankiness while still dishing out hella dmg through autos, I'd say you have a few options. Thor and Nemesis fit this build alright, but their kits aren't really similar, and they're relatively squishy if you fall behind. You can also choose Hades, he's tanky, has mobility, and a great ult that gives him defenses, but he's a mage and doesn't really work that well in the jungle as he struggles to chase his enemy down. Lux - Ra. Straight up. Basically, just Lux with no hard CC (sad, I know). Skill shot, light cc (my retinas), a little bit of utility (but it's a heal instead of a shield), and a fuckin' BIG BOOM, straight up GAS ult. Gragas - Ok Gragas support is a wild one but let's see. If you're looking for displacement on a drunkard who is obnoxious for everyone around him, it's Bacchus. 100%. If you're looking for a tank/utility caster to play support, I'd say Yemoja (her ult is disgusting yet incredibly beautiful). I'm sure I'm not 100% on these, and given the limited roster of only about 50 gods (there was 130+ in Smite 1), I'm sure that later down the road when they add more of the OGs you'll find some that fit the bill better! Good luck friend! EDIT: After looking through the pool again, Sobek can work as a Gragas replacement, but he works as being more of a "pick and pull" type of support. HUGE damage on his ult if you charge it up all the way.

Looks like it was a fun match! You already sound like you have a good grasp of the gods used in the game, but i'll throw in some info about Chaac for good meassure. Chaac is a character who has big circles as his abilities, but his first ability (where he throws his axe) ties the next abilities together. When his axe is down using his second abillity teleports Chaac to his axe before using the ability, his third ability copies the rain and slow effect that Chaac created around himself. The slow stacks so you can really lock someone down by overlaping them. His passive is that when you hit someone with your basic attack you gain a "charge" when fully stacked the next ability you cast cost 0 mana and heals you a little. Best wishes for future matches. 😁

Something about Smite is clearing waves is much more easier to do safely. Its less a game of poke in mid and duo lane and more how you can clear wave and try to take side objectives. Most gods just have too much mobility to try and secure a kill or can clear too fast to try and poke. Otherwise your the enemy can capitalize off that and take advantage that your wave is behind.

cool to see league players trying out smite 2 and having a positive reaction. I've played smite 2 for around the same time you've played league but only barely played any other moba. the people upset about the skins/gems debacle are kind of misinformed. You get half of the gems you ever spent in smite 1 as "legacy" gems in smite 2 and you can use those to pay in legacy gems for half of a purchase in smite 2 so they should be happy that they allowed you to basically get half off of EVERYTHING forever for smite 2 if you had a lot of gems. ( i got about 470,000 legacy gems) so i'm basically never going to have to pay for full price for anything in smite 2, seemingly and I'm more than happy for that. PLUS they are porting over skins from smite 1 to smite 2 gradually which you can spend JUST legacy gems on so you essentially get a better, updated version of your old skins for free. No reason at all to be upset.

Old game, but very much like Smite, except you pick two characters, letting you burn swaps to change characters mid game, and each character had 8 basic abilities and 2 ultimates to pick your 4 basic and 1 ultimate from. You also had to gear each character with item sets, that would sort of determine your base stats, rewarding OTPing.

The cosmetics thing has been a massive issue in the community to such a degree that Hi-Rez has actually gone back on some of their previous plans. There’s been several changes to the inflation of the “legacy gems” currency and there actually are now skins ported from the original game which you can essentially get back for free if you played Smite 1. So in a sense I’m glad the community kicked up such a fuss because it’s gotten us a more consumer-friendly product, but at the same time it was done in a way that ultimately hurts the game (review bombing). Anyway, I hope you stick with Smite long enough to see all the old gods they’re porting over to the new game! There’s 130 in Smite 1.

Long time Smite player here... I just wanted to say i tried League first, i liked it but i got really annoyed at the spam click to move and the minions last hit mini-games that i had to learn just to stay relevant so i did not play that much and stopped. A year later i found Smite and the wasd movement felt much better to me and you still get like 75% of the gold if you are in range when a minion die so it's much easier to learn when you are still new to mobas in general.

yea, League is crazy with the amount of clicking you have to do. I never sat down and thought about that, uh... I guess, now that you mention it. Smites movement does seem a little more natural due to WASD, so interesting. Why did i never think of that lol

Ra is one of the best solo laners right now. He's very annoying to fight.

If you liked smite 2, try Predecessor its somewhat familiar moba which very detailed graphics and vertical gameplay with most abilities true skill shots

Diehard moba fan, i think its fair to compare smite to marvel rivals Alot of game sense transfers from smites 3rd person view boxing like combat Rivals just has a y axis And i think smites conquest mode feels death-matchy atleast in my mmr

Solo lane is tank. That's why ra is building tank.

Lol, I relate to that Hecate She can barely even come to the lane without being instantly deleted. Even under the tower she got Ares ulted and murked by Medusa lmao What is a player even to do at that point lol

The only people who give negative review to this game are the doomers from smite 1. I was an alpha tester for smite 1. Smite 2 is much better in beta than smite 1 was

A lot of the bad reviews are made by people who simply don't understand how they are being compensated for playing Smite 1. Granted, the system is convoluted, but it is very generous. Essentially, for every penny you spent on Smite 1 you get Legacy Gems which can be used for: A) 50% off on new skins B) Buying old skins they port over. *If the skin is actually ported from Smite 1. That, I can understand people getting upset over because they are not doing it for all skins (specially some older, kinda racist, skins) and they have been doing it at a slow pace. Outside of skins, people are upset at not getting the "Ultimate God pack", which is a bundle that unlocks ALL playable characters without grind. But that's just asinine, it's a completely new game they are making from the ground up, they need to charge for that again. On top of that $30 or $60, if you will, for all playable content in a game you can play for thousands of hours is still a good deal.

Yeah, it's definitely a lot to unpack, it doesn't make much sense why some people are mad but it's also a huge upgrade for the game, so there is certainly a strange divide
@oddzzyy564911 күн бұрын
they're making a battle pass system in OB03 which will be 1300 diamonds, $10. With legacy gems half off its $5. I have 2.5k diamonds as a f2p player by just logging on and playing a few gods to like mastery 3-4 which is really fast. but they will still badly review the game
@oddzzyy564911 күн бұрын
bad reviews are from smite players complaining about skins

aesthetically they go Marvel Rivals route, everything looks ugly for me tbh
