the 2 at the beginning (Rakan and Xayah) were his allies who were corrupted by the girl who flies and has big hair (Zoe), the green chameleon girl (Neeko) went to try to '' save '' them and she couldn't, and what it was corrupted too, and in the end ahri arrives to save her,this is the last cinematic released so far by the star guardians, there are 2 or 3 before,and I hope that this year, will have the rest

Neeko was there when Zoe killed xayah and rakan, but instead of fighting neeko hid. Zoe kind of resurected them and Made xayah think other star Guardians(miss Fortune, neeko and ahri) left her and rakan to die. But rakan doesnt believe and is not controlled by Zoe. He just stays there to try to purify xayah little by little (the price is him becomming corrupted). Thats why xayah is attacking neeko in cinematic, because She wants to kill them. Zoe is the first Guardian who idk how was corrupted and now is evil.

Neeko was not trying to save them in this cinematic, but rather escaping. I think at this point neeko was just hiding and trying to find other star guardians so she could tell them what hsppened to xayah and rakan and the battle against zoe. Zoe's ultimate goal is to corrupt All star guardians. Thats why neeko was hiding and running away. Btw ahri is the leader of star quardians (there IS even lux's group). Thats why She had 3 crystals in her hand, each representing neeko , xayah and rakan who were believed by other star guardians to be dead

Based off what I've seen from other comments from other videos, the girl being chased (Neeko) is trying to not be corrupted by dark chick (Zoe). The two winged couples are Rakan (male) and Xayah (female). Xayah had been corrupted by Zoe, but Rakan was able to heal her corruption so she came to and tried to help Neeko fight against Zoe Just as all seems lost, Ahri comes to save the day. I think she's the Star Guardian's leader?

so a few things: 1. neeko (little lizard girl) is actually a “good guy” from what we know. she destroyed everything probably unintentionally cuz she was defending herself 2. rakan (green dude) didn’t die at the end. he was just hurt, when she has him on her shoulder his eyes are even open 😭. they just have cool wings 3. yes that was ahri in her star guardian skin. i commented this before but different skin lines in league usually aren’t connected to the original league story. so star guardian ahri is different from kda ahri and kda ahri is different from original canon league ahri. different skin = USUALLY different universe. hope this makes sense 😭

Here's a long detailed explanation. In this cinematic we have 5 characters. Neeko (lizard girl with the tail aka the one running), Xeyah and Rakan (The two with the capes, which are actually a singular wing that they both have, the symbolism behind the wings is that when they are together they make a pair of wings, they're married), Zoe is the long dark haired child like girl, and Ahri is the one at the end obviously. To keep it simple, in the star guardian universe Zoe was corrupted and turned evil. She later hunted down other star guardians and corrupted them, Xeyah and Rakan are an example of Zoe's corruption. Xeyah and Rakan where once former memebers of Ahri's original Star guardian team, which included Ahri, Miss Fortune, Neeko, Xeyah, and Rakan (this team line is still unclear in lore). In this video we see Neeko running away from the turned evil Xeyah, Rakan, and Zoe, to later be interupted by Ahri's attendance. Rakan didn't die, the wings you see on his and Xeyah's back are simple animated symblisim to go along with their wings and how together they are a pair since they are a couple.

Man, the entire Star Guardian lore is amazing! The entire Runeterra is, but the Star Guardian, to me, is on a level by itself! That was the original Ahri Star Guardian team, who she couldn't save (The lizard Neeko and the birds Xayah and Rakan) from the Dark Star (of which Zoe , the portal jumper is a part of) Not gonna spoil the lore if you're interested in learning more lore by yourself :)

Star guardian is an alternative universe to the normal league universe and has a different story to it and isn’t related to it, the only in game connection that they have is the skins for the different characters and it is heavily based off anime such as Sailor Moon. Neeko (the girl with the tail) is the good guy and has been trapped by Zoe (the floating girl who comes out of the portal) who is the villain with Xayah and Rakan (the two who were fighting neeko with the capes) who were corrupted by Zoe and made to be evil. At the end Ahri (who was the leader of the Star Guardian team that Neeko was apart of) shows up to help save her.

Actually you have to watch the cinematics chronologically. Like theres multiple Star Guardians to start with Lux, Jinx, Janna, Lulu and Poppy. Then the more veteran team introduced are Ahri (the team leader), Miss Fortune (Named Sarah), Ezreal, Syndra and Soraka. Here in this cinematic, they introduced the three of Ahri's original team which she assumed are dead. Zoe, the floating longhair one is the antagonist. She corrupted Rakan and Xayah (the couple) and she's planning to corrupt the last remaining guardian Neeko. And ofc, Ahri here is the hero saving the day.

The girl who is running away ( her name is Neeko ) is actually the good guy in this cinematic. And the 3 others, Xayah and Rakan ( the bird couple ) and Zoe ( floating girl ) are " evil " . Well actually in the past , Neeko , xayah , rakan and ahri were in the same team ( along with miss fortune ) but when they fought Zoe one day , she corrupted the couple ,ahri and miss fortune escaped and Neeko went missing . That's why they are chasing her here , they actually want to currupt her and Zoe started doing it at the end just before Ahri came in to save the day , once again :D ( reminder : this story is actually not canon in the league storyline, it happends in a " parallel universe " and it's actually here just to promote a new skinline - the star guardian skins - )

Nice reaction, interesting to see how things can be interpreted by someone with very little background info. So, pretty sure we've covered that 'skins' in LoL are treated like 'alternate universe versions' of the character; the Star Guardian skin-line has the characters set in a universe based off 'magical girl' anime like Sailor Moon or Cardcaptor Sakura, where middle-school / high school girls are given magical powers to combat evil. Lux was actually the first champion to have a skin set in this world. However, as more skins were released in this line, and the story fleshed out, they started adding darker elements; reflecting shows like Madoka Magika. I'm not too caught up on the lore for Star Guardians, but I can give you a basic overview of their base stories. The champions shown are as follows (in order of appearance): - Neeko, the curious chameleon: Neeko is an Oovi-Kat (pronounced exactly as spelled), a more ancient race of Vastaya (more on that below). She is the last of her tribe, and currently hiding in the jungles where Qiyana's kingdom lies (you'd know Qiayana as the Latina girl from True Damage). She wants to rebuild her tribe by finding kind people to join her. - Xayah (Zai-yah) and Rakan (Ra-kahn), the Rebel and the Charmer: Putting these two together, as they are a couple. They are Vastaya, a race of people with magic in their blood whom often sport animal-hybrid appearances. Xayah and Rakan specifically are based on the Chinese myth of Jian birds, which are born with one wing, and must find their soul-mate to fly. They are currently fighting to preserve natural magic in Ionia, which many humans living there are trying to harness to protect against invasion. -Zoe, the Aspect of Twilight: A young girl from Mt. Targon (which is basically a magical Mt. Everest), she was chosen as the vessel for the "Aspect of Twilight" a cosmic being which heralds great changes (usually catastrophes) to worlds with sentient life. Being a trapped as a slightly bratty, pre-teen girl for thousands of years, she doesn't fully comprehend the power she has, and often unknowingly causes a lot of pain; this makes many think of her as cruel and dangerous. I'm pretty sure you've already read up on Ahri, so no need to go into her story.

Neeko has been trying to run away and so Ahri and Miss Fortune thought they had all died, hence the broken stars in Ahri's hands in both this cinematic and the "new horizons" cinematic.
