Some context: This cinematic is described as "Past, Present, and Possible Futures." The scene with Kayle, Morgana, and Aatrox is set centuries ago in ancient Demacia (the magic racism nation). Aatrox is a Darkin who wants to destroy the world so he can finally die, and Kayla and Morgana are the twin Aspects of Justice. Here, you can see that where Kayle embraces her divine heritage (Aspect mother, mortal father) and shuns her humanity, Morgana is hesitant and prefers to use her dark (but not evil) magics to bind Aatrox. Put simply, Kayle is absolute justice (i.e. basically every crime is punishable by death) whereas Morgana believes in compassion and second chances. The second scene is with Yasuo, who is an old man in this timeline. The official line from Riot is that this is a vision sent to Yasuo by Kindred (the Lamb and Wolf who are a spirit of death). It is a "possible future," but not *the* future. In the end, the arrow that flies toward him is the arrow of Lamb, which is for those who accept their death, as Yasuo does here. Finally, the last scene is in the present day. Tryndamere was fighting off members of the Winter's Claw tribe and was severely wounded, whereupon he entered his Undying Rage (blood magic that makes him basically immortal). Here, he is shown to be fighting off Kindred because he has not accepted that he will die that day. Kindred are composed of Lamb and Wolf. Lamb grants the mercy of her arrows to those who accept their death, whereas Wolf hunts down those who run from their death. In the end, Kindred relent because Tryndamere is saved by Ashe, his Oathsworn (basically a political marriage, but they started to grow feelings for each other after a while). It's actually hinted that the battle with Kindred was in Tryndamere's mind, and in reality, he was fighting off the Winter's Claw, but he saw it as fighting off literal Death. Overall, this cinematic was chock full of lore, and I absolutely love it.

Kindred after getting her bow back looks little surprised after realising that there is no killing Tryndamere since he can't really die normally since he has been stabbed by Aatrox, and Kindred even seems curious about it, and Tryndamere sees Kindred but in reality fought off the guys we was in the beginning, and he kinda saw Ashe as Kindred for a second in the beginning, and that is why he was Kindred fade away as Ashe comes into the view, so basically every time Trynda ults in game, he is bascially fighting Kindred every time@@jackthompson7546

The cinematic this year was incredible! To note, the two "archangels" were Morgana and Kayle, Morgana the purple one and Kayle the golden, both fighting off, of course, Aatrox during the times of Ancient Demacia. This is before Morgana and Kayle had their falling out, when they both shared their mothers swords, until eventually Kayle usurped Morganas blade from her (although she mostly discarded it.) The second scene with Old Yasuo is whats theorized to be a "potential future" as told by kindred through a vision to Yasuo in the present. Yasuo, having over the years gave up his sword and wind arts, living mostly as a (still drunken) hermit, find the will to take back up the blade to protect the villagers from the attack, seemingly one last time. The third scene was a representation of Tryndamere fighting off death, who of course is kindred. Im not entirely sure how literal him fighting Kindred was, or if Wolf and Lamb were just stand-ins for the winters hold warriors that were surrounding Tryndamere, but i dont doubt that it most certainly is what it is like for him and his cursed "undying rage" power. Kindred stepped away, either seeing that it wasnt Tryndameres time due to Ashes' intervention or simply waiting for an easier time to take him.

Someone else mentioned that while Tryndamere is fighting Kindred, before when they showed him he’s surrounded by 6 warriors. During the fight he strikes with the sword 4 times, a few blocks in there also. But then Ashe comes in to take care of the last 2, therefore fending off death so Lamb lowers the bow. I absolutely loved this cinematic.

Alot of people seem to have missed something important in Tryndameres part. Alot people keep saying his fight with Kindred is all in his head , and hes actually fighting the winters claw. But when Ashe gets to his side, alot people are missing that Tryndameres Pauldron has fresh slashes from Wolf across it, which werent there at the beginning of the video or even at the start of the fight. This shows that he really did fight Kindred. Kindred is leagues aspect of death, its Grim Reaper. And our RL mythos of the reaper is that only those the reaper comes for can see him or interact with him. This means that Trynda fought the winters claw and Kindred at same time. Kindred could only attack in synergy of when the enemy tribesmen attacked, as the aspect of death isnt allowed to altar/change a persons time of death, and instead can only follow it. Thats why kindred vanished when ashe showed up, as her rescue saved trynda from his death, so kindred couldnt take him anymore

Its even stated in the lore that only those on deaths door see kindred in their final moments, to either shepard them to a peaceful passing via lambs arrow if they accept death or wolf hunting down those who resist/reject

You're also treating Kindred as if they're merely a concept, which isn't true, we know them to be actual entities in Runeterra, that *can* be interacted with under the right circumstances. Tryndamere is fighting Kindred and the warriors simultaneously, Kindred just acts through the warriors. The claw marks on the pauldron is the evidence of this, the odds of 3 separate slashes being parallel like that are astronomical

Rarely reactors realize in the yasuo scene that kindreds wolf appears faintly in the back of the forest but stays hidden because Yasuo accepts the arrow of the lamb - he only watches whereas in the trydamere scene the lamb tries but then stays passive since tryndamere is resisting so hard and wolf goes forward ! Also, a lot more subtle though - at the end of the aatrox scene when he is engulved with the fire of kayle- we see for 2 frames kindred silhoutte faintly in the fire (she only watches because Aatrox can canonically not die).

The Idea of Tryndamere Fighting Kindred whenever he uses his ult is so Nice (in the game tryndamere defies death for a couple of seconds when he uses his ult, so in this cinematic he fights kindred literal death while using his ult) Ashe saving him means Death is no longer near, that's why kindred vanished

Yasuo might have thought that of "meeting his maker" on the first arrow, but decided to fight one last time, and then at the end when more arrows are raining at him, and you can see kindred's shadow, he closes his eyes again and we see Kindred's arrow, so he may have accepted the Lamb's swift arrow of death.

The three stories are all tied to Kindred. They are like the embodiment of death in league, Lamb represents the acceptance of death and Wolf represents the violent struggle against it. The song is Kindred reminding you that they are still there, death is never far away. (and they will always be there, in the past, the present and the future as you can see is also a theme in this video) (It's Kinded you see in the distance behind Tryndamere in the first scene) In the scene with Kayle and Morgana (Daughters to the aspect of justice, kinda celestial beeings) fighting Aatrox (a darkin) you can see Kindred in the fire at the end of the scene. (They are probably there for Aatrox's host/body since Aatrox is acctually the sword, could also be the army behind Aatrox, since we know that the three main characters are still alive since this is an event from the past) The scene with Yasuo (in a future vision) You can in the tree line see Wolf's eyes, but since Yasuo accepted his death Lamb's arrow is the one that took him out. And lastly Tryndamere at the end defies both Wolf and Lamb, fighting against death, with Lamb then lowering her bow at the end as he is saved by Ashe (his wife). And also see how it implied that he's the only one seeing wolf and lamb as this fight happens since he is on the brink of death, litterally staring death into it's eyes, and he's acctually in another fight against other humans that you can see Ashe shoot at the end to save him, and you see Kindred dissapear since he is no longer "supposed to die". (Tryndameres ultimate in game is that he kinda gets too angry to die, which is basically whats shown here, but from his perspective.) "Tomorrow is a hope, never a promise" - Kindred

Fun fact: the old guy (Yasuo) actually doesn't kill anyone in that fight, you can see that the sword doesn't make contact with anyone and that he imbues his sword with wind and just knocks them out, and the reason he sends the tornado to the last guy is to push him out of the arrows way.

Canon with Arcane show #TheBoredBoarPlays: @Necrit lore The whole theme is "StillHere", referencing Kindred who is DeathIncarnate. Whether it's the Past (Morgana &Kayle), Present (Tryndamere), and Future (OldMan Yasuo). Death is "Still Here" no matter whattime it is. The angels are Kayle (white wings) and Morgana (purple wings) and they are sisters and daughters of the aspect of justice (basically gods). Their scene is from ancient history in the lore and you watch Morgana fall from grace when she decides to put her mother’s sword in the ground and use her “evil” purple chain powers. Kayle walks up, picks up the other half of their mother’s sword that Morgana put in the ground and side-eyes her sister for choosing to fall from grace. Aatrox is incapable of dying and is a prisoner in his own body, so he wants to end the world to leave his prison (a little edgy but yeah that’s his story). The next scene is Yasuo’s possible future as an old man that Kindred gives him as a vision. He’s done with fighting and doesn’t end any of the people he hits with the sword, just incapacitated them. In the end, there are a flurry of arrows coming toward him and he sees wolf’s eyes as he looks at the arrows (signifying “is he going to fight to survive?”) but then he closes his eyes and accepts lambs arrow signifying him accepting his end. Last is Tryndamere, he’s a warrior to angry to be taken down, and in-game his ultimate ability is “undying rage” where he’s unable to be killed for a few seconds. This cinematic puts an interesting twist on his ability where when he’s using “undying rage” he’s actually fighting the twin aspects of death itself, kindred. When the dust settles you see he was actually fighting some frost guard warriors, but in his enraged eyes they were kindred. Then his wife, Ashe, shows up and saves Tryndamere and his eyes leave his “undying rage” state. She then casts her frost bird ability that gives her an aerial view and you see a bunch of enemies charging towards them. Then it fades out.

The Voice we heard was kindred, who is kind of the world of league's grim repeared, and they are present throughout. Morgana, Kayle and Aatrox: This is the past, ancient demacia where both Kayle/Morgana are working together as sisters to fill the Celestrial aspect of Justice to fight of Darkin Aatrox. At the end we see Kindred's shadow rise as Aatrox's host likely dies to Kayle and Aatrox the darkin himself going back into his blade. Grandaddy yasuo scene is a future scene where yasuo at first seems to habe sworn off violence and his wind powers. Though we see him pick up a sword and use his wind technique to disarm the bad guys. In the end we see a swarm of arrows coming and in the middle is kindred's arrow, meaning this future is Yasuo accepting death Finally Tryndamere vs Kindred. Trryndamere has a magic inside him that allows him not to die when he should. When his eyes are red this is our tell and instead of seeing him take on the warriors surrounding him we instead see him battling death, kindred. Both Wolf and lamb do their best but once he survives long enough for his wife Ashe to save him kindred stops attacking and we see the "real" world where his moves were likely being done to the enemies there. I missed all this my first few watches so don't feel bad but once I did put the pieces together the cinematic became a lot better for me.

The best and briefed to describe Morgana(Purple hair) and Kayle(Silver hair) is that they are the "Dante and Vergil" of Runeterra, respectively. They have similar storybeats/Themes in that they inherited powers from their parent, in this case the "Aspect of justice" and wrestling with the intricacies of their heritage. One rejecting it and the other idealizing it.

Hello u both :) Funfakt: The Man with the Sword is Tryndamere and the Woman in the End, whos helping him is his Wife Ashe. The Funfakt behind it is, Tryndamere is named by the previously President of Riot (Who makes League of Legends) and his Real Life Wife, whos Ashe, her name is Ashley. Both of theese Charakters are the origin of the Game. Really like the Detail from this Cinematic :)

Trynda and Ashe got married for politics, fell inlove with time. Kindred depicts dead past, present and future. Check the animations again, the voice at the begining is the Lamb's voice, Lamb's bow offers a swift release from the mortal realm for those who accept their fate. Wolf hunts down those who run from their end, delivering violent finality within his crushing jaws. That is the reason why you see the Lamb in the fire after Atrox dies, you see the wolf behind the arrow that takes away Yasuo's life, and in the final fight you see the Lamb circling around trying to understand why Trynda has not accepted his parting and keeps fighting. I hope this info help you a little bit.

To summarize this video, everything about it is Death. I can't put everything into detail, but every scene ends with Kindred (masked woman with a wolf companion) somewhere in the background. Kindred is Death herself, if i remember correctly. The first scene with Kayle, Morgana and Aatrox, the one who dies is Aatrox, well not technically dead but he was sealed back into his weapon. Aatrox is cursed with immortality and all he wants is to die. Second scene is the old man with a hat, his name is Yasuo. That scene is basically a glimpse of one of his possible futures. A glimpse given to him by death herself, Kindred. Final scene is with Tryndamere. A man also cursed with immortality, battling death or Kindred. During the fight Kindred realizes she can't claim Tryndamere for some reason so that's why she put down her bow. Why Tryndamere is immortal? At some point in time, Tryndamere fought against Aatrox, was stabbed by him and got infused by his blood magic. If i remember it correctly, Aatrox plans to make Tryndamere his vessel. I know i didn't explain much but that's the gist of everything that's happening. And oh, Tryndamere is the husband of Ashe (girl with the bow in the final scene) that's why she's coming to his rescue. Just added this info just in case.

In the last scene. The character that was fighting kindred is tryndamere. Note that he isn't actually fighting kindred in real life. It's a battle that is happening in his mind because he thought that he was going to be killed by the soldiers that he was fighting with which we see in the beginning of the cinematic when he is down on the ground so he envisioned seeing kindred there ready to claim his soul after he had died but he wasn't ready to die yet so he got back up and started to fight kindred in his mind but in actuality he was fighting with the soldiers. Notice how the it was light out before kindred appears then got dark when kindred does appear and notice how when ash came to save him kindred disappeared and it is still light out. So tryndamere wasn't actually fighting kindred. It was all in his mind.

Except he actually did fight them. After ashe gets to his side, you can see tryndameres pauldron has Wolfs slashes in it, which it didnt before the fight. This is likely based on the RL mythos of the grim reaper, which is that you can only see him/interact with him when he comes for you. So tryndamere was fighting off Kindred and the winters claw at same time. The attacks were likely synergised, as kindred was following what was meant to be the "line" that is tryndas fate/death.

This was all explained by a writer from riot who gave out details about what was happening in this cinematic. Also necit did a video explaining what happened in the cinematic as well.

Kindred was quite a nice touch, as the wolf represents death to those who don't want to die, and Tryndamere really doesn't want to die, as he is kind of a berserker type of champion in the game.

Literally has an ult that prevents death for as long as it lasts. It being in universe as him literally fighting in a blind rage against death is incredible. Especially when you realize that, in the beginning, there are 6 soldiers surrounding Trynd and Ashe snaps him out of it by shooting 2 of them...and when we pull back, all 6 are dead. The implication being that, while Trynd was actively fighting off death from taking him, he was also killing 4 of the 6 enemies, fittingly accurate to him in-game - his ult has him stave off death while he continues to fight and kill those around him.

my favorite part of this is the middle part with Yasuo (old swordsman) it gives me the feeling that he put down his sword, and knew that if he picked a sword up again he would die, and then in this situation, he had to pick up a sword to protect the mother and child then when he is chasing the last guy, he sees a hail of arrows coming to him, and has to choose between getting the last guy or protecting himself, and he chooses to eliminate all of the bandits(or w/e they are) and then he accepts his death as Kindred's arrow approaches and i am so happy you caught the glimpse of Wolf(part of Kindred) in the mountain as the hail of arrows was coming to Yasuo

Cool thing people noticed with old man yasuo is he didn't kill any of the bandits he just knocked them about with the wind and even saved the leadee from thr volley. He got tired of killing.

All scenes actually shows kindred During Aatroxburning, you will see the lamb's silhouette in the flames During Yasuo's death you're right, the silhouette or the wolf is there And of course during Tryndaere's undying rage he faces Kindred Also side note during Yasuo's fight scenes, he uses the wind not to kill those bandits that's why there is no blood during his slashes, he also pushes the guy with the tornado when he saw the rain of arrows coming, be fore he accepts his death

(scene one) The Kayle/Morgana scene is where Morgana lets go of her sword, apparently using a non-heavenly force to bind Aatrox. Kayle looks down on her because she considers such powers to be inferior and falls into his eyes, but continues to finishes the job. Aatrox, who is actually the "sword", is seen falling. So the boat can be killed by kayle. You can see a shadow of Kindred(Lamb) briefly in Kayle's flames. (second scene) Yasuo's scene, is he fighting these mercenaries? I don't know what it is, protecting those who are left, at the end with the many arrows we see a form of a Wolf who is the kindred and then among the arrows we also see the arrow from kindred which means yas died and this was the last battle (third scene)Tryndamere's scene is fighting to the death with unknown enemies and then literally fighting death itself. The fight with Kindred is a metaphysical representation of what happens during Tryndamere's ultimate which can't die for several seconds. In the end, it seemed that Tryndamere's time was running out and the enemies would kill him (so he was ready to drop the arrow and kindred), since the ult would not protect him but his wife ashe appeared and saved him, if she is still his wife, I have no idea haha we see his role as an incarnation or aspect of death since he appears 4 times: at minutes 0:24 / 1:40 / 2:50 and in the fight with trynda

There is different timelines : 1) Kayle / Morgana (sisters) Vs AAtrox = "The past" (confirmed on an article) the lore of Kayle and Morgana will maybe be changed to add this conflict with AAtrox (With the lamb of Kindred on the flames) 2) Yasuo = "The future" of Yasuo (an example like they said of what it could be for Yasuo), you can see the Wolf of Kindred in the forest (cuz Yasuo accepting his death maybe or because it's wolf he is gonna run away) 3) Tryndamere = "The present" fighting some clans in Frejlord (Fighting to survive but he sees Kindred because he thinks he would die soon but saved by his wife Ashe). Some of this have been confirmed for some lore / update skin (Yasuo Old man new skin) / Preparation for the new MMORPG Just a reminder that Kindred is just a reflection of death, she is not real, just an image of what could be death (the Lamb for the sweet death if your accept your death, Wolf for the most rough one if you try to run away)
