Well this same unit developed quite the leak between uses. This time right out the primer nipple. Turns out the float had fuel in it. Not sure what caused it as no obvious hole but new float fixed it.

They have a vent hole in the carb body it will flood if its dirty , float pop a leak when the gas sits in the carb year after year the corrosion they get a pin hole. Bronze floats always been the worst , reason they went with plastic . the 20s to 80s they used bronze . you lean to shake them thats the best way to tell if they have fuel trapped in them.
