10:00 all I can think is Voodoo doll. the top hat makes me believe this ork is a Hoodoo bokor or houngan.... I FOUND MY WEIRDBOY! going to have to learn to do body paint to add the skull to his face.

6 + Stevo I know, what is going on here? 😆 Secrets: I used to own loads of Rogue Trader era orks and used them for all sorts of gaming, particularly games with chaos renegades. Sadly I did sell them off.... ...however however however! I might just have something full of orky know-how in the Retrohammer cache ;)

Ah, sculpts by Kev "goblinmeister" Adams, formerly from the GW church, back in the Rogue Trader / 2nd days. You can't get more authentic classic look than using a sculpter from back in the day.

I won’t even pretend to know what the little figure is on the back of that one fellow’s belt, but I’d like to imagine that it’s some kind of Waaagghhh-infused voodoo doll, or perhaps it’s a living (though we can’t see him wriggling about) homunculus of some Orky sort. Thanks for sharing these models- they’re fantastic looking!

That top hat ork might have a voodoo doll on his back, I say this because his hat has a sort of swamp lands style to it as well as the fact that orks can be superstitious.

I loved your reviews of the nightmare games models but I think they would be even better if you showed the art they are based on (I know you give the book and the page in the description but I don't have any of the books : ( )

I'd like to show the art alongside the models and if I do that it will be in a final review when the models are built so you can better appreciate the comparison, not the best time to do it when some of the models are unassembled.

Yeah, the freebooter style orc is really cool. I showed these to my mate who collected orks back in the Rogue Trader era and he really liked that miniature as well.

There's a big call for the style and "feel" of the older models, a lot of things to me have become very bland (The Orks used to be fantastic and all over the place what with the Wildboyz, Madboyz and huge charts to have Buzzer Squig arms etc. a lot of fun seems to have left them over the years)

1st Ork is nurgle for sure with that hoofed foot, horn, breather gear, general corruption the second one is like you say, a Khorne worshipper. The guy with the Wolf mane would be SnakeBites although the humie style backpack is all very Goff-like. The top hat fellow looks quite eccentric, a bit like a madboy but he's too well equipped so must be a freebooter!

I think that's all spot on, maybe the Snakebite Orc has been hanging out with the Kommandos and picked up some of their habits!

Out of interest do you have any of the RT era / early 90s orks for a size reference? I have looked at getting some of these in the past but I'm not looking for giants!

I'd say they match well with the slightly bigger, early 90s figs. Certainly bigger than the first range of Space Ork raiders.

Why do they sculpt them so damn big? Kinda makes sense for the leaders, but they will be incompatible with older GW minis, and you wouldn't combine them with newer orcs that are in a completely diferent style.

OK i did it got i think ALLLLLL my 1980s WD zz and roge trader warhammer 4ok copendum the 1996 codex kaos and fist white dwarf 100 at one pond 25 going be a LOOOOONNNNGGG vid but i try and minis part two the one book cant find and truy to horos fore war games if find it its going in vid thay hve a lot of marader minis add to will see more yes seen the sight like em
