The first time I ever heard LeAnn was at a concert in Lawton, OK in 1996. The song "Blue" had only come out about six months prior. I think she was 14 years old. I was in the press pit right below the stage. She was such a little girl with a very big voice. She sang a couple of songs and somebody from the audience kept yelling, "Yodel, LeAnn, yodel". As she started the third song they yelled out again. She had every right to be annoyed but she wasn't. Instead, she raised up her hand to stop the band and said, "Okay boys, I need to yodel", and with that, she began singing "Cowboy's Sweetheart". When she began to yodel everyone went crazy and the entire audience rose to their feet. She was incredible.

@@daphneepaul3737 listen to this song. you will hear her voice bounce from a lower note quickly to a higher note and back again. Yodeling is made up of a whole lot of that note bouncing in sequence. A lot of cowboy songs have it. It originated in the alpine mountain regions of Europe, Switzerland, Austria, Bavaria, etc. Search for Leeann singing "Cowboy's Sweetheart" and you will hear her yodeling.
