The support? You deserve it: you worked hard. Not “that knowledgeable” about working in cars? You are a titan compared to most of us. A titan. Listen, take it from me and don’t be your worse enemy; others will that care of throwing bricks at you; you need to realize you truly deserve kudos. We are all impressed by your skills and humility. Those who are not, are simply jealous.

The ending of the video was just AMAZING, I loved the words of inspiration and I can totally relate to it. I was always labled as a bit of a weirdo when I was younger because of my passion for cars, and now 90% of those people follow my youtube channel 🤣🤣🤣 and funnily enough I’m also a naturally very shy person ☺️

Your plus side is that you know a LOT of people that can help with stuff. Someone like me who is as passionate as you are & knows no one, because my area isn't big on racing doesn't help me. So you're blessed to know people with other shops & have a garage of your own.

I have lots of admiration for you Devin, not just you your brothers and Bobby too. You're so in depth, showing all or as much content as possible also the flaws which a lot of people don't do. But yeah working with/on cars is not always sunshine haha. You're really something else, and that's why I enjoy watching your content. Learned a lot by just watching your vids. Keep it up bro! Edit: Also props for being so grateful and admire your subscribers, viewers etc. etc.

Keep putting out great content and we will continue to support and grow. Bought one of the half wrapped hoodies this time around and supper excited to rock it in Canada. I love how humble you are and not afraid to say you don't know something and keep and mistakes or errors in the final edit. You could easily edit that stuff out and make it appear your perfect. We all have things to learn and no one is perfect.

Pin holes in paint are from solvent gas off. To prevent, try primer sealer next time. 👍 🤓
@Pallidus_Rider4 жыл бұрын
@Msn Automotive primer sealer should not be confused with sandable primer which goes under base coat. A lot of pet make this mistake. Not saying that you did - you seem to be an intelligent person. If you need help with this, I can have a PPG sales rep contact you.
@nickjewell4714 жыл бұрын
Not a primer issue....There werent any pinholes after basecoat.....if it was substrate issue the problem would have surfaced on the basecoat......this issue was outgassing with the clear....possibly not enough flash time in between coats or even too thick of coats
@Pallidus_Rider4 жыл бұрын
@Msn Automotive not sure you understand the purpose of a sealer ...
@Pallidus_Rider4 жыл бұрын
@@nickjewell471 not necessarily. Sandable primer is very pourous, hence the pin holes seen. Proper sanding may have helped, if it was laid on too thick. From the pictures, it is not very clear at what level the pinholes were at. I would have to see in lab.
@nickjewell4714 жыл бұрын
@@Pallidus_Rider the pinholes didnt appear untill clear was applied...substrate issues would have shown up after base...porous and pinholes are 2 totally different things.....what the footage shows is common outgassing or contaminated surface issue(fisheyes)....no need for lab....footage also shows going straight to wet coat with him spraying over it twice on first pass....I'd also check the airline oil separator to see if its life is exhausted...could have picked up contamination through the airline and then through the gun

it looks good man. dust and little specs are common. even in a body shop. that's why they cut and buff the paint after its cured. to eliminate that. once you do that step...you money.

Spats have "boil" its solvent trapped in or under the clearcoat. Usually caused by primer and or base layers not dry enough, or too much clear. The solvent trys to escape after the clear has skinned over so bubbles up. Can be other reasons but that's the most common.
@AlphaMachina4 жыл бұрын

Conrats on all your success! I didnt realize you taught yourself how to build cars. I thought you were a trained mechanic!
@nickjewell4714 жыл бұрын
How long did you wait between coats of clear? I noticed you went straight to wet coats....usually start with a mist coat...let it flash(10-15 mins).....then wet coat....flash(45 mins)...then wet coat.....then let dry(24-48hrs depending on room temp)......pinholes are outgassing or contaminated surface(hand oils..etc) outgassing is the solvent from previous coats expelling through your top layers.....too thick of a wet coat could amplify this.....turning down fluid knob helps.....youd also be able to notice by how fast you went through material in the cup.....dont forget to waste 10-20% of the cup.....dust and dirt will float and if you spray your cup empty you push it through the gun and possibly onto the substrate
@dannics9814 жыл бұрын
Bro you might not even have to primer it if its ruff, next time just wet sand it with a little 1000 sand paper and it might become smooth. Thats what i do at work and it works most of the time. But for somone who just learned this, you are killing it man, keep up the great work 💪
