I've had this synth for several months now but haven't done a deep dive with it yet. It's quickly turning into one of my favorite software synths, the possibilities just seem endless! This video has been super helpful, especially since the timeline is marked so I can skip to sections covering stuff I don't already know yet. This is easily one of the best tutorials I've seen on something like this, I'm so grateful you made it.

It's Crazy the amount of time you gotta put in behind this music production career in order to be one of the greats! there's s lot to learn just in one single plugin, I be seeing producers use plugins like the back of their hands & I'm here just 30 mins in! lmao

Wow, thank you for this coverage Jules! This is amazing. I've only been using Pigments 3 for some really nice pad presets, as I hadn't spent the time getting to know it yet. This is one hell of a Synth. Holy hell! Its really not scary to look at, but has a lot to it - and now it has a lot more than I could have ever imagined. Thank you!

Pigments was my first ever soft synth, and boy what an assault to my brain and eyes lol. I had to take a step back to other more simpler synths - but Pigments 4 really helped ease me back into it.

Great guide. Like your excellent Diva 3 hour guide. So I think you are about 6 months in with pigments now. For your style of music would you recommend someone looking to get stuck into a synth go for either Diva or Pigments? Or apples and pears. Thanks.
@BoundtoDivide2 жыл бұрын
Yeah a bit of an apples and pears situation. Pigments is a lot more capable of crazy sound design and doing things like sequences, additive sound design, WT synthesis, sample based synthesis and more. Its super powerful! I still find myself reaching for diva tho and i guess its because im so used to it its like a habit for me. If i had to start over id probably focus more on pigments simply cause of all its versatility.

That analog engine chapter is kinda rough with osc 2 being almost .75-semitone out of pitch. You might want to re-upload to show what things are SUPPOSED to sound like. Plus all the additions that V5 has.

Thank you jules but I’ve seen your videos you’re not using this synth as far as i know. Is it because cpu issues or what ? And I’m curious what is your favorite synth / vst plugin for 2022
@BoundtoDivide2 жыл бұрын
Thats because I only read the manual last week so I didn’t know how to use it before. But now it’s definitely gonna be used a lot! The sequencer, granual, and harmonic engines are insanely powerful! Can’t wait to use them in my next production sessions! Currently my fav synths are Diva and Serum but I’m sure Pigments will join them!
