I have an eCourse I teach called Learn Hypnosis in an Hour. This video is all the lectures of that online hypnosis training in a single video.
This free hypnosis eCourse teaches you everything you need to know to be able to easily hypnotise people without the need for scripts and without needing to learn lots of complicated hypnotic language or techniques.
On my live hypnosis training courses I have all students hypnotising each other without hypnosis scripts within 30 minutes of the start of the course.
If you are interested in knowing more about hypnosis I have two hypnosis books (first two in a series of 10 hypnotherapy books I'm writing called 'Hypnotherapy Revealed') available as paperback and Kindle eBooks.
Hypnotherapy Revealed: Introduction to Hypnotherapy - Available from your local Amazon website with this link smarturl.it/22y8sl
Hypnotherapy Revealed: The Ericksonian Approach - Available from your local Amazon website with this link smarturl.it/4oakl9
You can also learn more about my eCourses and books etc on my website www.danjoneshypnosis.com

I'd ask friends and family. Friends of most people I've met are up for giving hypnosis a go and even those who aren't that interested in the topic are usually happy to help you learn and to be volunteers. Most large towns and cities also have hypnosis meetup groups and even when there aren't any groups you can join many online groups to find thousands of people interested in hypnosis and then meetup with local people interested in practicing and perhaps some who may teach you a few things too if they are already fully trained and qualified...

That body scan induction was so calming, I remember my PE teacher did something similar just to calm us down on fridays. And I remember thinking when she did that thise years ago was that it could potentially be used for hypnosis (back then i was interested in the physiology of hypnosis and actually wrote a small paper on it, while i never knew how to actually induce someone I still found it an interesting topic

I can honestly say this is a wonderful example of exactly what hypnosis really is. It is a misunderstood practice that is really as simple as he says. Meditation and hypnosis are twins they are extremely powerful tools that allow the mind to realise it's full potential. Everything is In the mind, getting in, is the difficult part. Thank you for this video, I have used meditation techniques to deal with chronic nerve pain, it has helped me a lot. So much so that I want to become a hypnotherapist and help others. Thank you for this video, I have to change my career at 46 and now I will investigate further and if course see if I have what it takes, which is all important ♥️🙏

I’m an amateur hypnotist. My advice for starters is never practice on people who know you personally. People who know you, and know you’re not previously a hypnotist. They won’t take you serous and laugh and feel odd esc. On a stranger they will respect your commands. And go in. This is my personal experience. You may find it easier to work with people you know first.

Outstanding, Sir. So many hypnosis channels go far into WHAT and WHY hypnosis is, yet a lot of them don't touch a lot on the HOW of it. I need to do an alignment between what I plan and strongly promise to myself and what I actually do. Perhaps, you already have a very good video on self hypnosis and appropriate self suggestion. If so, may I get a link of this, please. Or you may give me some “suggestions” and ideas how to win the everyday struggle between what I plan (self talk) and what I do actually. When I teach this live I start my courses having everyone hypnotising each other. Within about 20 minutes (10 of which would be introductions, 5 would be explaining what I want them to do and 5 would be demonstrating what I want everyone to do) everyone does hypnosis. The instructions are to look at the person you are hypnotising, have the goal being that they are going to be hypnotised and then use your observations of them to support and facilitate them as they go into hypnosis. So anytime you see automatic or internally focused behaviours you will acknowledge these and you will demonstrate curiosity about what will happen next as they enter hypnosis and how they will enter hypnosis and how what they are doing well help them go deeper into hypnosis and curious about their l ongoing experience of drifting into hypnosis. And this is it. Everyone pairs up and hypnotises each other. So if the hypnotist sees the eyes blink they will acknowledge this as something meaningful to the experience, if they do an out breath this gets acknowledged, the hypnotist may show curiosity about what the subject can hear or what parts of their ongoing experience will help develop hypnosis the most etc. So they may say "that's it, letting those eyes blink as you drift deeper into hypnosis, and I wonder how much deeper you will go with each blink...that's it... and drifting deeper and more comfortably with each out breath...and as you continue to drift deeper into hypnosis with each out breath I wonder what sounds you can hear around you and what thought you will have and whether you will relax deeper with each out breath of each in breath..." etc... So it is all really easy use of observations towards a goal and intense curiosity...

As everyone else says, well done for an excellent and entertaining video, I intend to watch this over and over. I uploaded a self hypnosis audio track years ago that I often listen to myself to understand who I am. I am something of a philosopher having studied philosophy for many years. I think hypnosis could help people with mental illness and to understand who and what they really are.

This video is absolutely wonderful. I wish you had done one like this about self hypnosis. I can't wrap my mind around the idea of giving myself suggestions after hypnotizing myself. I wonder how you can be hypnotized and still be present enough to be thinking of things to say to yourself. It doesn't make sense to me but then again I've never been able to hypnotize myself so far, in part because I have no idea what to expect and how it's supposed to feel lol

I read through my first two Hypnotherapy Revealed books a couple of weeks ago, the first of these books covered self hypnosis. I also have an eCourse teaching self hypnosis. Hypnosis itself doesn't feel like anything and how to do self hypnosis is very varied, from making yourself tracks to follow where you can then follow a process of absorbing attention before a process of presenting ideas and perhaps mental rehearsal, through to letting yourself know beforehand what you would like to do during the period of self hypnosis and then doing the hypnosis and letting things happen, or even just telling yourself what you would like to achieve and when by and then getting on with your day, or some kind of ideodynamic approach where you get an automatic signal to say work is beginning perhaps signals while work is happening and a signal to say work has completed.

I do educational content over on my The Tortoise KZbin channel (formerly The Mind Changers that I used to run with neuroscientist Dr David Lewis). In 2019 when I made this channel a sleep stories channel I continued posting this kind of content on that channel... This evening the video on that channel is part one of me sharing my diploma. If there is enough interest I'll edit part two etc. It requires a lot of editing and processing, so although it seems minimally edited the audio has had to have a lot of work (I recorded the audio separately as well as on a camcorder so have better audio to work with but I have to make that audio better and then synch it with the video etc and then edit students out of the footage and where possible place in other demonstrations etc if I have them)...

It's so great that you're working with a neuroscientist and I'm excited to see what you have!!!! these longer and informative videos take A LOT of time and a lot of editing-esp to keep clients privacy but I love how you do the demonstrations and the explanations bit by bit! Dr David Lewis has stepped back from the channel now. We worked together on the channel for 7 years and had been working on different things over the years before that, but David felt he needed to step back from the channel to semi-retire. I've looked at fivver and have also independently asked other editors about editing my videos, but they are way out of my price range. I've done this for this channel as well as my educational channel. In both channels cases the quotes are significantly more than the videos make in income. I tried out In Video which has an ai option, but it doesn't work for long videos and wasn't very good. It looks good in demos, but I would have to do so much editing to what was created. I use Descript which can cut silences and 'um' and ah's' and has some features which kind of work at times for things like replacing words where there was a mistake, the studio sound option sounds terrible in my experience, yet in the demos, again it doesn't sound too bad. I had hoped that Descript would have been good to help with editing my sleep stories as this takes a long time, so I liked the idea that I could potentially drag the raw file into Descript, get a transcript of the story (I already use this to get my story transcripts), then make edits easier, use the AI voice option to correct words where perhaps my stomach gurgled while talking or a car goes passed or a dog barks etc, and then do a pass of the studio sound option to clean all the sound up. But the AI voice option doesn't sound natural enough even when trained on my voice as I speak when recording and the studio option sounds terrible, so I just manually edit everything. For videos like this AI isn't very helpful as it doesn't know what I want and files I'm going to be using etc. It is much better at being given short scripts, like In Video, and then finding stock footage and music that match (although it still usually needs a lot of work) what is being discussed in the script and this can be AI voiced or I can just share the audio of me reading the short script. I use Leonardo AI to help with thumbnail and video images and now with the beginning short videos (I used to make all these manually using programmes like iClone, Playstation's Dreams, and many other programmes). I've created a GPT for KZbinrs which I use to help me improve on my scripts for my other channel, working kind of like an editor that can help me improve what I've written. I really like AI and the advances happening but at present there is still a lot I have to do myself...

@@DanJonesHypnosis I'm so glad you told me about your other channel!!! dr Lewis is amazing! I immediately started from the earliest on your channel so I can go through the whole thing...and saw some of his videos and I'm sad to see him go but he definitely seemed to have put his work in! Congratulations on his semi retirement! It's so terrible that you haven't been able to link up with someone to help you with your edits- including other video editors or people yk. It might be a wise decision to try to get some people fresh out of school? So they can work with someone with a name and be in your price point? Or even reach out to some people that have extra time and just need extra income on reddit? I've noticed most people reach out to other people on Fiverr that are in other countries so they can pay them a little less cuz of the currency. I'm not a video editor or professional so I don't have a lot of good suggestions. I wish I could be more of help - and I would certainly do it just for the opportunity to work with your team and to make a little extra money. I'm just not qualified enough to work with that kind of editing.have u tried reaching out to other channels that aren't in your field to see how they do it? Maybe just reaching out to some bigger channels that aren't even related to what you do on your channel might be helpful?(I've done that in the past and people are really helpful) I see that you do these long beautiful videos and I am very appreciative of them! Not much artfully made videos on KZbin anymore like it used to be. I think ai will get there soon enough-and ofc if I come across anything personally I will comment it to you!(The new MID journey and new stable diffusion does videos but I'm not sure to what extent because it was just released) The stock images are great but you might be able to quickly make some ai ones and videos,to go with your stories.(I see u mentioned that )You can use what a.i. other people make too! I've messed around with a lot of AI lately 😅 Leonardo AI is great!

I like people to be comfortable hypnotising each other etc before they start trying to learn about language patterns and techniques that they can use to refine what they are doing, and so that when they learn these techniques etc they realise they are using many of them already they just didn't have a label for the different things they were doing.

Thank you Dan for this detail and free video. I tried different methods which I learned from a few books and many KZbin videos. Unfortunately, nothing works on my subject. My objective was to elevate the performance of my subject in the sport field. He has the technical abilities but doesn't perform well in the field. I plan to use PUSH DOWN ON MY HAND - RAPID INDUCTION, follow by deepening it by suggestion following by giving suggestion to boost his performance and ending with TRANCE TERMINATION. Everything looks simple and practical. Any guide, anyone, please!!!

Just giving suggestions often doesn't work on most things and where it works, it has limited lasting success unless the person knows what changes they need to make and so makes these changes from the ideas presented. Hypnosis itself is just the process of focusing attention to increase responsiveness, this means that the person is better able to follow the presented ideas. If your subject is very capable but perhaps cracks under pressure when in actual competition situations, then maybe having them mentally rehearse being how they want to be in those situations would be helpful so that in the future they will be more likely to automatically respond in this way. Maybe they also practice setting an anchor that they can use for when they want to be in the right state...

Brilliant, thank you! Considering purchasing one of your books and looking into your eCourses, which I assume are more elaborate and detailed. Can one become certified through your courses?
@DanJonesHypnosis
@DanJonesHypnosis 4 жыл бұрын
My online courses don't lead to certification. To get any decent certification you would need to take a classroom tuition course where your practice can be observed and you can get plenty of practice, including with clients, and there would be written work like assignments and exams to ensure knowledge. All things I can't offer through any of my online courses. All of my other courses are more detailed and build on what is in this course though, often focusing on specific angles, whether it is conversational hypnotherapy, Ericksonian hypnotherapy, rapid inductions, script writing, story telling, self-hypnosis, CBT, etc...

Hi there! I have a question about the ongoing experience induction. So, in my experience while trying to be hypnotized with audios, something might happen that diverts my focus and makes me struggle to keep it. If at the same time the audio is describing how I'm going deeper, it thwarts the attempt quite a lot. Of course you would pay attention to signs of that happening and prevent it while doing it in person, but it surprised me that you described this method as failsafe considering this. Might it be that I'm focusing consciously and someone being hyptonized wouldn't recognize that dissonance (or even loose their focus)? Thank you!

@DanJonesHypnosis 5 жыл бұрын
Hi, The reason it is described as fail safe by hypnotherapists is because as long as the person is choosing to remain where they are (so they could decide to stand up and walk away and not engage in the process) then what you are doing is being curious about how that individual will have this experience now, and there is no wrong way for them to have that experience. If they have a moment of being uncomfortable in the chair and they shift in the chair, that is fine, that is part of their experience of being hypnotised, you can't know for sure what someone is doing in their mind, but you can say things like 'from time to time your mind may wander to other things' and if it does, then that is fine, that is part of their way of becoming more absorbed in the experience. While doing all of this, you are watching for minimal cues and predominantly commenting on these ongoing parts of their experience, so the signs of them becoming absorbed in the experience. Audio tracks always have the problem that you ideally need to be generic enough to apply to as many people as possible and need to try not to mismatch the client's experiences, so there is no problem talking about becoming deeper absorbed or going deeper into hypnosis. People have a misunderstanding that 'deeper into hypnosis' somehow equates to relaxation, when hypnosis and relaxation aren't the same thing. 'Deeper' just means as a being generally you are focusing more on where your focus needs to be focused. If you covertly hypnotise someone with say a handshake induction the person may carry on the conversation with you and swear they aren't hypnotised, they will appear to untrained people like nothing has changed, and yet their arm may still be floating in the air and they may now have increased responsivity. So for me with audio tracks if it is supposed to be interactive, like a therapeutic process or mental rehearsal etc and they are not engaging with the process then they are unlikely to get the therapeutic results regardless of how 'hypnotised' or not they are because they aren't doing the therapy. They could be deeply hypnotised, but not focused on engaging with the process, but instead focused on some other idea. Face to face as you mention, you would be asking for feedback throughout and giving things to follow and getting non-verbal feedback, so you would likely notice this, but you do get people who say they expected hypnosis to fix them and not for them to have to do anything. Hypnosis doesn't increase suggestibility, so the person doesn't necessarily follow what they need to be following just because they are hypnotised, they can choose not to follow along and not get therapeutic outcomes. In relation to someone's mind wandering, you can acknowledge that like above, but most of the focus would be on the behaviours which evidence focusing and becoming responsive, so you would direct the client's attention to their breathing, to changes to skin temperature, to relaxing muscles, to the blinking of the eyes, etc, if they also from time to time have their mind distracted by other sounds, like if a bird is suddenly noisy outside or if a truck or motorbike goes past, then if it is something you are aware of you may comment on it, but as people focus more in one place they reduce focus elsewhere, so you don't normally have to do too much mentioning as people often describe that when hypnotised they obviously could here sounds etc, but were less bothered by them. The important thing is that whatever the client's reaction is treated as the right behaviour in that moment on their journey to being hypnotised, there are no wrong behaviours if they want the experience to happen, so you wouldn't prevent someone from focusing elsewhere if that happened, you would acknowledge that their attention might wander from time to time and that they might have noticed the sound or whatever the distraction is and then you would move on to focus on something else, so they may notice the truck and can notice how those hands feel resting there on your lap.
